About This Pub

You know, chatting about Hogarths in Blackpool, it's one of those places that really stands out for gin lovers – they've got this massive array of over 120 brands, all served up just right with clever garnishes that make each sip a delight. The decor is absolutely gorgeous, with that classic Victorian feel, dark wood everywhere, and a huge skylight that gives it a warm, inviting glow; it's like stepping back in time while still feeling right at home. Prices are spot on too, not extortionate at all, and if you're into watching the footie or other sports, they've got plenty of screens to keep things buzzing. On the downside, though, there have been a few moans about accessibility – one person had a tough time with a wheelchair because the ramp wasn't on hand when it was needed, which is a bit of a shame. Plus, with just the one toilet cubicle, it could get frustrating on a packed night. And while some of the staff are lovely and helpful, others come across as a tad disinterested, which takes the edge off what could be a top-notch experience. All in all, it's a solid shout for a relaxed evening with friends, especially if gin floats your boat, but it's worth going in with your eyes open to those little hitches.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Impressive selection of over 120 gins, all served with perfect garnishes to bring out the best flavours
  • Stunning Victorian decor and historic building with a welcoming dark wood interior and a grand skylight
  • Reasonable drink prices that won't break the bank
  • Friendly and attentive service from the staff, making for a pleasant visit
  • Lively atmosphere with live sports on multiple screens and great entertainment options
Cons
  • Accessibility can be an issue, like with the ramp not always being available for those who need it
  • Only one toilet cubicle for the whole place, which might lead to queues on busier evenings
  • Service isn't always consistent – some staff seem a bit uninterested, which can dampen the experience
  • The atmosphere doesn't quite match the fancy decor at times, feeling more like a standard spot than a premium one

Large pub come gin house located in historic building close to the North Pier. Drinks prices are very reasonable but the only downside is there appears to be only a single toilet cubicle for the whole premises. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Unable to get into the bar. My wife uses a wheelchair. Hogarths blackpool has a large step. Fortunately they have provided a ramp. Unfortunately on the night we attended there was no one available to put it out for us. Apparently it the guy in the blue jackets job, but he was no where to be found. So no G&T at Hogarths. But no worries plenty of much more friendly and accessible venues in Blackpool

I always think this place is going to be classier than it actually is. If only the service and atmosphere was as impressive as the decor & architecture. The barman serving me couldn't have been less interested in working there. Seems to me this is a bog standard Blackpool sports bar dressing itself up as something else. The TV screens..all showing different sports channels..are tacky & completely detract from the splendour of the surroundings.

Great bar with wonderful staff. Biggest gin nenu I have seen and drinks so well presented. Loved the sour sherbet around the glass. Prices very fair. Beautiful looking bar. Lots of dark wood make it very welcoming Sport on all day long
