About This Pub

Ah, let me tell you about Harvester Wych Way In Droitwich – it's one of those places that just feels like a breath of fresh air for a family get-together or a casual catch-up with mates. From what I've gathered from the reviews and the vibe, the food really steals the show; think juicy rotisserie chicken, hearty grilled mains, and that unlimited salad bar that's become a bit of a legend – it's fresh, varied, and adds a lovely touch to the meal without making you feel guilty about seconds. The staff are absolute gems too; stories of Jo sorting out a steak mishap with a smile, or Olivia being spot-on with kids in tow, show they're all about making your visit memorable in the best way. It's got that family-friendly charm down pat, with a kids' menu that's a hit and plenty of parking, making it easy to pop in after a day exploring nearby spots like the Severn Valley Railway. On the flip side, though, it's not without its quirks – busy nights can mean waits for your food, which might leave you a bit peckish, and there have been mentions of smoking outside that could spoil the entrance a touch. Plus, if you're a beer enthusiast, the selection might not wow you, leaning more towards lagers and ciders rather than a full range. All in all, it's a solid pub restaurant that does family dining proud, but it's worth keeping in mind for those busier times to ensure you get the full experience without any hitches.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely spot on, with mouthwatering rotisserie chicken, grilled dishes, and that fantastic fresh unlimited salad bar that makes you feel like you're treating yourself without breaking the bank.
  • Service is top-notch; the staff, like Jo, Sharon, Olivia, Fiona, Missy, and Maxine, come across as genuinely helpful and welcoming, making every visit feel personal and enjoyable.
  • It's brilliantly family-friendly, with a kids' menu and plenty of options for all ages, plus free onsite parking and easy access near the A38, perfect for a relaxed day out.
  • They've got a great vibe for casual dining, open from breakfast 'til late every day, and it's got vegetarian and vegan choices to suit everyone.
Cons
  • Service can sometimes drag a bit during busy evenings, like when a group had to wait an hour for their mains, which puts a damper on things.
  • There might be the odd slip-up with food prep, such as steaks not being cooked just right, even if they do sort it out quickly.
  • Smoking outside the entrance can be a bit off-putting, especially if you're trying to enjoy a meal with little ones.
  • The drink selection isn't the best, with limited beer options beyond lagers and fruity ciders, which might disappoint if you're after something more traditional.

We were a group of four booked for 18.30. We were served our main course at 19.30 - it did appear to be an extremely busy evening which probably accounted for the delay. Our server Sharon was very pleasant and helpful. The food was enjoyable and the restaurant clearly very popular, I was pleased that I booked on line as we were shown to our table immediately on arrival whereas 'walk-ins' were made to wait

Had a lovely meal here, was with my mum and my 3 young children. Olivia our waitress was amazing, very attentive and welcoming. She was brilliant with my son and nothing was too much trouble. However I have only given a 4 star because of a small issue. People are constantly smoking outside the main entrance which you can smell all through the restaurant, there was a blonde member of staff who was showing people to their tables, she wasn't in proper uniform and was regularly going outside the front to smoke cigarettes in full view of customers. Give Olivia a promotion!

We eat here quite regular because the food and service is always brilliant and it's great value. I love the salad bar (makes me feel like I'm on holiday abroad) Fiona served us and was extremely helpful and very friendly. Missy served us the previous time, and again genuinely helpful. We had the half chicken and chips, my wife had a jacket potato with hers, but there were many other options. Cooked to perfection. The car park is big and it has large car parking spaces. Perfect location with easy access off A38 and M5.

Good Salad! Good Mains though not good value! Great Service from Maxine ! On tap a reasonable selection of Lager (Which I don't drink). No other beer on tap apart from the awful John Smiths (the local water tastes better than this rubbish) ! Ciders anything fruit flavoured it seems (so not really Ciders !). There are a few drinkable bottled beers available but none I couldn't have at home. Quite a nice place for a meal as long as you aren't interested in a drink with it !
