About This Pub
Ah, Harvester Wilford – it's one of those places that just feels right for a casual get-together with the family or mates. I've got to say, the food really steals the show; whether it's tucking into their famous rotisserie chicken or exploring the grill options, everything comes out hot and full of flavour, and that unlimited salad bar is a proper treat with its fresh picks. It's got that family vibe down pat, with a menu that caters to all tastes, including the kids and those after veggie or vegan choices, so no one's left out. The staff are an absolute delight too, always popping over to check you're alright, which makes the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. Plus, being conveniently placed near some lovely local spots and with ample parking, it's easy to swing by for a bite after a wander. On the flip side, though, it's not without its quirks – you might run into a wait for your meal or a mix-up with orders, which can be a bit frustrating, especially if you're hoping for a seamless night out. All in all, it's a solid choice for a hearty meal and good times, but just keep in mind it might not be perfect every visit, so go in with that relaxed pub-goer mindset and you'll likely have a great time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think juicy rotisserie chicken, tasty grilled dishes, and that unlimited salad bar is a real highlight, always fresh and packed with options.
-
It's brilliantly family-friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere, a kids' menu, and plenty of choices for vegetarians and vegans, making it easy for everyone to find something they fancy.
-
The staff are top-notch; they're friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to make you feel at home, just like chatting with mates at your local.
-
Great location off the A52 with loads of parking, and it's near some nice spots like Willow Meadow Wildlife Area, perfect for a relaxed day out followed by a meal.
-
The vibe is cosy and inviting, ideal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with a buzzing atmosphere that makes it feel lively without being overwhelming.
Cons
-
Service can have its off moments, like mix-ups with orders or getting someone else's food, which might put a dampener on things, especially for special occasions.
-
Wait times for food can sometimes drag on, as a few folks have mentioned, which isn't ideal if you're in a rush or have little ones getting restless.
-
While it's generally clean and welcoming, there might be the odd wait for tables or slight issues that could make the experience feel a tad inconsistent.

We had an excellent experience thanks to our waitress, Julia! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. I had the combo and it was delicious—served hot, fresh, and just as described. Julia checked in at all the right times and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great service like hers makes all the difference. We’ll definitely be back!
It wasn't their finest hour - had lots of beautiful meals here and this time the food was still lovely! However, this was my birthday meal and a few of our party received another table's food initially which was not ideal but was dealt with after we sent them back. In their defence the restaurant was very busy and we were a party of 13 people. I will go back as the food was good and every place can have a bad day especially when so busy. The atmosphere felt quite chaotic and not a relaxing birthday vibe on this particular occasion!
The salad bar in Harvesters is the main selling point. The salad bar here was well stocked and fresh. The other food was also good though it took quite a while to be served.
Visited for an evening meal after work. Really nice welcoming restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seating area was clean. Food was really tasty, well cooked and really filling. Our server Kara was very attentive. Large car park and clean toilets. The only slight issue was a 30 minute wait for the mains after being served from the salad bar, but the food was worth the slight wait. Returned recently with group of friends and had a great experience. Service was excellent. Another great visit, had The Dirty One burger which was excellent and very well cooked. Our server Zoe was very attentive and friendly.
Lovely food, buzzing atmosphere, the unlimited salad bar is very varied, lots to choose from. Our waitress, Chloe was very friendly and attentive, couldn’t do enough for us. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
