A happy happenstance on our first night in Kendal. A welcoming and unique place, if you don't want a crowded place, this is the space for you. Beautiful beer, James was so accommodating and the service was exceptional. Of course Dan was the star attraction, I am sure you will agree James. We wanted to say goodbye on Sunday, sadly you were closed. For anyone seeking a safe and less intensive experience, this may be the one for you.

The beers absolutely lovely, the atmosphere though was awful. We sat in another room so we didn't have to listen to the landlord vilifying a lady Then they shut very abruptly we understand the reasons behind this and feel for the family but would we return to the venue absolutely not.

Albrecht spotted this Handsome brewery outlet. Two of four hand pumps in use. Enjoyed a lovely pint of Top Knot. There is a split level bar area and then two sets of stairs leading to the toilets and a second seating area.

Kendal Weekend - Feb '24 - lovely place, great service, good selection of craft beers. I had the Gypsy Hil Brewing Company: Tafa Tafa sour 5.5% and Handsome Brewery: Handsome Stranger bitter 4.2% Both great! Dog friendly.
