About This Pub
Ah, the Greyhound Inn – what a gem it is for anyone after a proper pub experience without breaking the bank. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really shines with its Sunday roasts; folks rave about the tender beef and veg that's spot on every time, leaving you feeling well fed and satisfied. The staff get a big thumbs up too – they're quick, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure everyone's happy, even if you rock up late. And let's not forget the quiz nights; they're a proper laugh, with snacks to keep you going, making it a fantastic option for a mid-week outing. On the flip side, the operating hours do look a tad confusing with all those different listings, so you might end up double-checking before heading out. Plus, without a website, it's a bit of a faff to get the lowdown online. All in all, though, it's a welcoming spot that does the classics well, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area for some hearty grub and good company – just go with an open mind and you'll likely have a great time.

Cons
-
The operating hours listed seem a bit muddled, with multiple times for Sundays, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's best to pop in.
-
No website means it's trickier to check the menu or book ahead, so you might have to just turn up and hope for the best.

We went to the Greyhound Inn for Mother’s Day and had the roast dinner, it was absolutely delicious. The beef was tender & vegetables cooked to perfection. It was the first time here but not the last. All the staff / servers were really friendly and on the ball. The beer garden is huge too and as it’s high up in the summer will be even more perfect. 12 out of 10.
Another lovely Sunday roast in a friendly pub, service quick and friendly best roast dinner in Oldham worth a visit
We go here every Tuesday for the quiz. It's a great night out. Really challenging quiz with half-time snacks included. Staff are always lovely and it's a fab night out.
Cracking choice for our Sunday dinner. Nice soup and pate starters. Beef roast for mains cooked beautifully with a good selection of veg and a belting gravy.
We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.
