About This Pub
Ah, Green Acres II – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper community hub in Hemel Hempstead, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this warm, welcoming vibe where the staff go out of their way to make you feel at ease, and there's always something going on to keep things lively, like watching the footie on the big screens or having a go at pool or darts. The drinks selection is spot on too, with premium beers that folks absolutely love, and it's all at prices that won't break the bank for a quick pint. On the flip side, though, it's a shame it's not as packed as it was in the good old days – some have mentioned it feels a bit quieter now, and the costs can add up if you're not careful, plus you might find they're out of that special guest ale you're after. Still, it's a cracking place for a relaxed catch-up with friends, especially with the handy parking nearby, and overall, it strikes a nice balance of fun and familiarity without any major letdowns.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff and management are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's a top spot for catching the latest sports with loads of screens, plus they've got a jukebox, pool table, and darts for a bit of fun.
-
They offer a great selection of premium beers and drinks at reasonable prices, with some folks raving about the San Miguel.
-
The atmosphere is lovely and homely, perfect for a relaxed evening or meeting up with mates in the heart of the community.
-
Convenient location right next to shops with plenty of parking, making it easy to pop in after a day out.
Cons
-
Prices can be a tad on the high side, which might put a dent in your wallet if you're planning a big night out.
-
It's not as buzzing as it used to be, with some regulars missing the lively crowds from back in the day.
-
Occasionally, they run out of guest ales, which could disappoint if you're after something a bit more special.
-
The overall pub scene seems to be winding down a touch, so it might not have that non-stop energy some folks crave.

Back in the day, along with all the other pubs, it was much more packed, and u could get merry without spending all ya dosh. I'm afraid this day and age the pub scene is no longer, crying shame.
Great management, staff and prices.
Very friendly landlord and bartenders.
Showing all the latest sport, good venue for events.
Premium beers and a wide range of drinks, jukebox, pool table and darts, all available at the centre of the local community.
I've just popped in for a few quiet drinks while working in the area. Very big friendly pub with loads of screens for the sport and they usually have 1 guest ale on but unfortunately not tonight. Right next to shops with plenty of parking. Whats not to like.
The prices here are reasonable! Come down for a good, clean pint. San Miguel here, is my favourite! So good! Premium beer!
The place here has a homely atmosphere and the staff are friendly enough. It's always fun to have a good vibe to the jukebox here and if you get bored of that then you can always play pool while you're doing that!
Bottom line;
Tasty beer and a good night here.
Lovely local pub lil bit on the high price but is very nice to watch football and also to play pool
