About This Pub

Ah, Grays Inn – it's one of those pubs that really captures that classic British charm, tucked away on the edge of Aberdeen. I have to say, what stands out most is the welcoming vibe; the staff are absolute gems, always up for a chat and making you feel right at home, which gives it this lovely community spirit that's hard to beat. It's spot on for catching the big games too – whether it's football, rugby, or other events, they've got the screens and the buzz to make it exciting. Plus, being family and dog-friendly adds to the appeal; it's a great place to pop in for a pint or a relaxed meal with friends. On the downside, though, the food has had mixed reviews – some folks raved about it, but others found it underwhelming, with a few ordering mishaps via the app that left them a bit frustrated. Still, if you're after good drinks, a friendly atmosphere, and some lively events, it's worth a visit; just maybe keep expectations in check for the grub and plan ahead for busier times.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and create a genuine community feel, making every visit feel warm and welcoming.
  • It's a brilliant spot for watching live sports, with events like the Women's Euros and Lions tour, and they've got Sky Sports and TNT for all the action.
  • Being family and dog-friendly means it's perfect for a relaxed outing with loved ones, and the atmosphere is just spot on for casual get-togethers.
  • Prices are reasonable, and the pub's location on the edge of Aberdeen makes it a handy escape from the city hustle without breaking the bank.
Cons
  • Food quality can be inconsistent; some experiences were disappointing, with suggestions to stick to drinks rather than meals.
  • There have been issues with ordering via the app, like delays or items not being available, which can put a dampener on things.
  • It gets quite busy at times, especially during big events, which might lead to slower service or a bit of a wait.

Couldn't get more "British pub" atmosphere if you tried. Very "community feeling" vibes, lovely friendly staff. Very genuine. As for the food... You're probably best just sticking to drinks.

Venue was very busy, with football fans watching the TV but atmosphere was very good. We were in for lunch and was seated immediately. We were advised that there were no traditional Sunday lunches available but that gave us a chance to try the rest of the menu. Ordered on the app and food arrived very quickly considering how busy it was. No complaints from my friend and I about the quality. We stayed for couple of hours after our meal. Overall a really nice experience and one we'll be doing again soon.

Nice atmosphere, ok service, food at least in our experience was not good at all. We placed order on the app but nothing happened, so I went to the bar and was told they are not used to the order from the app. And didn’t have the beer I ordered. We went there cuz we were craving for a burger and they were the first showing up on trip advisor. The burger was dry, burnt and with no taste, not even salt. I would probably go back to Watch a game or drink with friends but I don’t think I would eat there again and definitely won’t order online.
