About This Pub
Ah, Grain Barge – what a gem of a spot down by the harbour in Bristol! I've got to say, it's one of those places that really sticks in your mind because of its unique setting on a boat, where you can soak up those breathtaking views of the water while tucking into some fresh, seasonal grub. The food's a highlight for me; think mouthwatering fish and chips or mussels that are spot on, paired with a solid range of local beers that go down a treat. And the atmosphere? It's just lovely – relaxed, with friendly staff who make you feel right at ease, plus fun events like open mic nights or quizzes that keep things lively. It's perfect for a casual meet-up or even hiring out for your own do. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing; the bathrooms can be a bit poky and not as clean as you'd hope, and sometimes the general tidiness could use a bit more attention, which might leave you wishing for a quick tidy-up. Still, with such a high rating from folks who've been there, it's clear the good bits far outweigh the niggles, so I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're after a memorable pub experience in Bristol.

Great place to hangout with friends. Food is good enough compared to the price. Service is good too. The bathroom could be cleaner and also a bit too cramped to go downstairs. Could be cleaner in general.
It was my first fish & chips, ever. It was delicious! I was "scared" about trying mint peas (I'm French, so I can't understand this recipe! 😅), but it was tasty too! Thank you for this discovery!
Must admit was slightly nervous when arriving at the Grain Barge for a group lunch, but once on board was blown away by the food and the staff. Mussels were some the best we have had in the UK, chowder was great as well, and the staff were outstanding. A great relaxed atmosphere, wonderfull views up and down the harbour. Would fully recommend, and we could bring our dog along!
Fantastic bar on a boat. Great atmosphere. We had already eaten but the food looked good. Nice to sit up top when the weather is good
Food was really good. Service was friendly. There is a good selection of local beers. The location is very good and there is seating that have really great views of the river.
