About This Pub
Ah, Good Souls – what a little gem in Bridlington! From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, this place really nails the basics with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that make every bite and sip feel special. The coffee's a standout, with folks going on about how perfectly it's brewed, and the breakfasts are full of clever twists, like creative veggie options that go way beyond the usual fare. The team, led by Jamie, comes across as genuinely passionate and welcoming, turning a simple meal into a proper treat. It's clear customers leave chuffed, with that high rating speaking volumes about the quality and care put in. On the flip side, though, it's only open five days a week and shuts up shop early, so you'll need to time your visit just right. Plus, with a small kitchen, it might not suit everyone, especially if you're dealing with strict dietary needs. All in all, if you're after a cosy spot for a relaxed breakfast or coffee, it's well worth seeking out – just keep those limitations in mind for a smooth experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The coffee is absolutely spot on – reviewers rave about the oat milk flat whites and even take some away for later.
-
Breakfast dishes are fresh, creative, and packed with quality ingredients, like that inventive vegetarian option with halloumi.
-
The service is so welcoming and friendly; it's like popping in to see mates, with smiles all round and attentive staff.
-
It's great value for money, especially if you're watching your budget or have dietary needs like gluten intolerance.
-
The atmosphere is bright, clean, and cosy, making it a proper nice spot for a relaxed morning catch-up.
Cons
-
It's closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which could throw a spanner in the works if you're planning a mid-week visit.
-
The kitchen is on the small side, so it might not be ideal for anyone with severe allergies, like celiac disease.
-
Opening hours are limited to daytime only, wrapping up by early afternoon, so it's not the place for evening vibes.

Honestly the best coffee and breakfast I’ve had in ages !
Clearly a true passion of all the team, you know when it’s good when the table is quiet and everyone just nods their heads in appreciation of the great food! hehehe
Oat milk flat white done to perfection
Scrambled egg on brown toast with tomato and chorizo was just lush, it looked fab too
We have found our new local for breakfast
Worth a visit !!!
Really loved our visit.
The breakfast is great value for money with amazing sausages and just good quality ingredients. I’m gluten intolerant so had the breakfast hash and it was amazing! I think it’s only a small kitchen so maybe wouldn’t recommend if you’re celiac but I didn’t suffer any reactions after my visit so they must have handled the food well in the kitchen.
Service was so lovely and the coffee was great as well!
Last but most importantly they serve coca-cola in glass bottles which is just perfection
So so impressed! Was greeted with all smiles when we came in. So welcoming!. Couldn’t fault the customer service! A breath of fresh air!
Food and coffee is top quality
Hats off Jamie!!! And to your wonderful staff!!!
BTW got a bad line when booking, Jamie acknowledged and messaged me which is a nice gesture.
Will defo come back and recommend if you happen to drop by Bridlington!!!
Came to Good Souls for the first time today after family recommended it and we were extremely happy we did. Food was exceptional. The vegetarian breakfast was very creative and not just your usual vegetarian sausages you would usually get with a vegetarian breakfast. The addition of Halloumi and crispy kale was delicious, it was a very well thought out plate of food. The homemade beans were super flavourful and the hash browns were great. My partner loved his Good Souls full English breakfast. Very good quality ingredients, the chefs clearly care a lot about what they put out🙏🏼 the staff were so kind, welcoming and looked happy to be there! Can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu. Very impressed. Thank you chefs & team💙
Great place, bright, clean, cozy service. Bridlington can boast such a cafe. Wonderfully served and tasty food. The coffee was so delicious that we even ordered takeaway. Will definitely stop by again when we visit Bridlington.
