About This Pub
Ah, the Brown Cow Livesey – it's one of those neighbourhood gems that really pulls you in with its friendly buzz and that Cheers-like welcome, where the staff and regulars make you feel like part of the gang straight away. I've heard it's brilliant for soaking up live sports action, whether it's a nail-biting football match or rugby on the big screens, and the drink deals are an absolute steal, keeping things affordable without skimping on the fun. The decorations add a nice, quirky charm that gives the place real personality. But, on the flip side, there are a few niggles; some folks have mentioned the loos aren't quite up to par, with issues that might make you think twice about lingering too long. Plus, it's not the best for families, as a few have had to cut their visits short with the little ones, which is a shame if you're after somewhere more inclusive. Overall, it's a solid choice for a casual pint and a laugh with friends, but it'd be even better with a bit more attention to those rough edges – just my two pence worth for anyone popping by.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The welcoming atmosphere is spot on – it's like stepping into Cheers, where everyone feels right at home from the get-go.
-
It's a top spot for catching live sports, especially football and rugby, with a buzzing vibe that really gets you in the spirit.
-
They've got unbeatable drink offers and great value prices, making it an affordable treat for a night out with mates.
-
The decor is nicely done with some fun and quirky touches that add a bit of character and make the place feel lively.
Cons
-
There have been some dodgy reports about the loos, like feeling unsafe or not up to scratch, which could put a damper on things.
-
It's not the most family-friendly; kids might not be welcome for events, which could be a letdown if you're planning a group outing.
-
It seems like the pub has changed from its old days, and not everyone thinks it's for the better, so regulars might feel a bit let down.

Nicely decorated pub, some funny decorations. Went in for a family event unfortunately even though it had been previously agreed that it would be fine my kids had to go but I don’t think that this is the pubs fault as there were some other kids from a different family and they had to go as well. Decent prices for drinks and what not.
