About This Pub

Ah, Feildens Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, you know? From what folks are saying, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, whether you're a regular or just passing through, which really sets the tone for a comfortable evening. The drinks are a highlight; they've got a great range of real ales that are kept in top nick and won't break the bank, making it easy to settle in for a chat or enjoy some live music if it's on. It's also clean as a whistle and dog-friendly with Sky Sports, so it's spot on for watching the footie or bringing the pup along for a pint. On the flip side, the opening times can be a tad confusing, and without a website or contact details, you might end up winging it a bit. Still, it's an inexpensive, down-to-earth place that does what it does best – providing a welcoming space for a good drink and a laugh. If you're in the area, I'd say give it a try; it's got that heartwarming charm that makes pub visits memorable.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home, turning a quick stop into a cosy evening.
  • They've got a cracking selection of drinks, especially the real ales which are well-kept and reasonably priced – perfect for a proper pint.
  • It's a spotlessly clean spot with occasional live music, adding a bit of buzz to the atmosphere.
  • Dog-friendly and with Sky Sports on offer, it's ideal for catching the game or bringing your furry mate along.
  • As a local boozer, it has that genuine community feel that keeps you coming back for more.
Cons
  • The operating hours seem a bit muddled from what I've seen, which might leave you scratching your head about when it's actually open.
  • There's no website or phone number listed, so it's tricky to check details or plan ahead without popping by.
  • While it's generally brilliant, it might not suit everyone if you're after something more upscale, as it's a straightforward, inexpensive local pub.

A decent local pub with occasional live music and a good range of drinks. Three real ales on when we visited, all well kept and at realistic prices

Bobbed in here on the way to a function in Blackburn. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff and the handful of locals who were in there, and were clearly regulars. We’re only going to stay for one drink but stayed for another as we felt so comfortable. Thank you to all
