About This Pub
So, I was having a chat about England's Glory the other day, and it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of a good local spot in Gloucester. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this fantastic atmosphere that's alive with entertainment – think quizzes, live bands, games, and even a jukebox for when the mood strikes. The staff stand out as absolute gems, always cheerful and on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly, which makes it feel like a proper community hub. The drinks and food are solid choices too, especially for the budget-friendly prices, so you won't break the bank for a decent pint or bite. On the flip side, though, parking might cost you a few quid, and it does have that no-frills feel in spots, which could disappoint if you're expecting something more polished. All in all, it's a brilliant place for a laugh with friends, but it's worth keeping those little niggles in mind to set your expectations right.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing with all sorts of entertainment, like quizzes, live music, games, and even a pool table – it's perfect for a fun night out.
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always making you feel right at home and adding to that proper local vibe.
-
They've got a great selection of beers, spirits, and food that's spot on for the price – it's an inexpensive spot without skimping on quality.
-
The pub is clean and nicely decorated, with plenty of seating in the front and back areas, making it comfortable for groups or a quiet pint.
Cons
-
Parking is available, but it's a pay situation, which might add a small hassle if you're popping in by car.
-
It can feel a bit basic in places, as it's an affordable option, so if you're after something fancy, it might not quite hit the mark.

We just love this pub! A proper local, great atmosphere, entertainment, food and amazing staff. Thanks for a great weekend Bob and Cat, see you next time!
We visited here whilst staying locally and must say what a great time we had. Lots going on games, quizzes. Good choice of beers and spirits. Atmosphere was very good and staff were excellent.
A fantastic night of live music with Rock band Amigos of Rock! Fantastic !
Great atmosphere
Played the first skittles game here of the season, we lost but great people, staff, music and they have a pool table
Only been in couple of times since reopened. Looks really nice from outside freshly painted and inside nicely decorated. Clean and tidy. Got front bar with plenty of seating, back bar with plenty of seating and a pool table and Jukebox. Staff friendly and welcoming. There is parking but it's a pay and display carpark but I think you get money back on a purchase, please check with pub first. Nice sized garden with seating.. This is situated on London Road on main road from Hucclecote, and other areas of Gloucester.. Within walking distance from city centre and Hill field park..
We gone few times since been reopened Bob is always chatty and welcoming and Holly is bubbly and friendly always smiling and is a pleasure to chat with. They show sports and play music videos. There is a quiz couple of times a week.
Reasonably priced..
