About This Pub

You know, when I think about Eagle Vaults in Worcester, it just brings a smile – it's one of those places that surprises you from the moment you spot that stunning entrance. The food really steals the show; whether it's a hearty breakfast that looks and tastes amazing or that delightful sticky toffee pudding, it's all done so well and at prices that won't break the bank. The staff are an absolute delight, always attentive and making sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to that magical, welcoming feel that's hard to beat for a casual get-together. But, let's be honest, it's not perfect – the beer choices are a bit slim, so if you're a real ale enthusiast, you might not find as much variety as you'd hope. And that background music, like modern jazz, can be a mixed bag; it's not everyone's cup of tea and might disrupt the vibe if you're after something more traditional. Plus, being a smaller pub, it does get packed, especially at busy times, which could make it feel a touch overwhelming. All in all, it's a solid spot for good grub and a chat, but worth keeping those little niggles in mind if you're planning a visit with friends.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely top-notch, with standout dishes like the full English breakfast and sticky toffee pudding that leave you wanting more.
  • Service is first-class; the staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, like chatting with old mates.
  • It's great value for money, especially with options like the three-course lunch for under £16 – a real bargain for a satisfying meal.
  • The atmosphere is magical and welcoming, with a stunning entrance that draws you in and creates a cosy, enchanting vibe perfect for a relaxed evening.
Cons
  • The beer selection is a bit limited, so if you're after a wide range of options, you might find it lacking compared to bigger pubs.
  • Some background music, like modern jazz, doesn't suit everyone's taste and can feel a tad out of place for a traditional pub setting.
  • It's on the smaller side, which means it can get quite busy and feel a bit cramped during peak times, making it tricky to find space.

I must say, we didn’t know this place was until the exterior caught our attention. A stunning entrance into a wonderful, magical even pub. I haven’t never been in a pub quite like, this one. And to top it off, we were served by a lovely gentleman (Johnny) and the food was amazing for an amazing price! I recommend this place for breakfast, lunch and dinner to be lost within its history and charm.

Yet another lovely night at the Eagle Vaults. Food is absolutely wonderful. Service first class, Jasmin is a credit to the place, and the background music, great. I know it is busy at Breakfast and Lunch time, but it deserves to be rammed for food on Friday & Saturday nights. Very good place to eat.

We had the absolute pleasure of visiting The Eagle Vaults in Worcester on Sunday. From the heart the staff are incredibly attentive and considerate, and you can see how hard they’re working. They go all out to make you feel welcome. The carrot cake is delightful. The sticky toffee pudding is absolutely amazing. The two-course Sunday menu is very good value. Highly recommend. Also dog friendly, which is a big plus.

Great if small pub, 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and well worth seeking out. Decent if a bit limited choice of beers and an ok menu if you're not too fussy. The best choice is the lunch set menu with 3 courses for under £16. Could do without the modern jazz mix track though, 🙄

This pub has really improved over the last few years. Popped in for a full English breakfast this morning and it was incredible. Really tasty, looked amazing and the staff were friendly. What more could you ask for? And at only £13.20 for a full breakfast and a pot of tea. Bargain!!. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
