Ah, the Duke of Cambridge – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local spot in Cambridge, you know? I had a cracking time there recently; the staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and quick with recommendations, which really makes the visit. The food's a highlight too – those chicken wings are spot on, all crispy and full of flavour, and the nachos are massive, great value for a casual bite. They've got some fun deals like student discounts and lunch specials, perfect if you're popping in midday. The atmosphere is lively but chilled, with a nice beer garden for when the weather's on your side, and it's brilliant that it's dog-friendly so you can bring the pup along. On the downside, the toilets weren't up to scratch when I heard from others – a bit grubby, which takes the shine off things a tad. And if you're based in the heart of the city, it's a bit of a walk, but it's close to hotels and shopping, so not a total deal-breaker. All in all, it's a solid choice for a pint and a meal, worth checking out for the good vibes and honest pub grub, but keep those niggles in mind.
