About This Pub

Ah, the Devonshire Arms – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem, tucked away on Station Street. From what I've gathered from folks' experiences, it's all about that excellent beer selection, with options to suit every taste, and at prices that make you think, 'Why not stay for another?' The staff really add to the charm, being so approachable and speedy with service, which makes popping in for a pint feel effortless. It's a great place to relax, whether you're enjoying the cosy indoors or heading out to the beer garden on a nicer day – I can imagine it getting quite lively during the holidays. On the downside, it does have its quieter moments, especially if you turn up early, which might not hit the spot if you're in the mood for a bustling evening. All in all, it's a solid spot for anyone wanting a straightforward, enjoyable pub experience in Burton-on-Trent, with just enough character to keep you coming back.

  • It can be a bit quiet at certain times, like early evenings, which might not suit if you're after a lively crowd

Was a little quiet around 5:30, but I got chatting with a friendly couple with their dog. Went in again due to missing the train, and the pub was a lot busier. There are some tasty snacks in here.

Great beer at a great price food, always busy always welcoming. Right next to a great curry house which allows you to bring your own from the Devvy. Great choice.

A real gem of a Pub....superbly run by Carl and Team. Highly recommend. Jaipur was perfect....and they also have the excellent, and very local, Tower Brewery Ales as well 👍

Great independent pub, beer always spot on, something generally to suit all tastes - On this occasion I had 3 pints of London Pride which had been kept very well (otherwise I wouldn't have had 3 pints). My wife had lime and soda. Prices were very good, you don't feel ripped off. Pub very clean. According to my wife the ladies toilets very clean. Oh we also had a pork pie between us which came via a decent local butcher. With thanks 🍻👏🏻

Proper pub, this gives you a large selection of beer and lager and cider. It’s a nice place to be. The staff are nice and serve quickly. The beer garden is a good size, and during Christmas time it’s absolutely rammed. I shall return.
