About This Pub
Ah, the Crown Tavern – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Lee, South-East London, where you can pop in for a pint and end up staying for the whole afternoon. I love how it strikes that perfect balance between traditional charm and a modern twist, with its cosy atmosphere making it brilliant for everything from watching the footie to hosting a baby shower or even a wedding. The food really stands out; those Sunday roasts are spot on, all juicy and full of flavour, and the staff are just top-notch, always ready with a smile and a helpful recommendation. It's family-friendly too, which is great if you're out with the kids or the dog, and that beer garden is an absolute treat on a warm day, offering shady spots and a buzzing energy without feeling overwhelming. On the flip side, it does get quite lively at times, especially during big events, so if you're hoping for a peaceful evening, you might want to time your visit right. And while the prices are fair for what you get, they could add up if you're planning a full meal and drinks, but honestly, it's money well spent for the experience. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts – I'd say give it a go and see why it's become such a favourite around here.

Attended a baby shower in this pub. Lovely venue on Burnt Ash Hill. The room upstairs had outdoor seating which was great as the weather was good. The food was delicious and perfect for the event. Bar staff was excellent.
I finally visited Crown Tavern its a cozy spot I’ve been meaning to check out for a while, and I’m so glad I did! Tucked from the busier surroundings areas, it’s a bit of a hidden gem.
I went for their Sunday roast, and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic—everything cooked to perfection, from the tender meat to the crispy roast potatoes and rich gravy. The portions were generous, and you could tell the ingredients were of high quality, which made it all the more enjoyable.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with plenty of space to sit comfortably, whether in the pub or their restaurant area. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better.
If I had to find a downside, it would be the price—it’s a little on the expensive side for a pub meal. That said, the quality of the food more than makes up for it.
All in all, Crown is a spot I’ll definitely be visiting again. If you’re looking for a great Sunday roast in a welcoming setting, this is the place to go!
Absolutely loved this place.
A random Sunday me the wife and our kids were looking for a local venue that provides a Sunday roast.
Beautiful atmosphere, great kids menu and amazing venue.
We will definitely be back...
Shout out to the staff especially Sean who kept us smiling and happy during our visit.
We accidentally stumbled across this pub as we were in the area and Google places to eat and this place is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere is great and the food was delicious.
The staff were super helpful and gave us recommendations and we are planning on having our Christmas party there .
Great roast, prompt service, understanding staff, accommodating and friendly. Finished the plate which only means one thing…….too good to leave any other way. Thanks Dan, see you again soon! BTW the cherry bakewell cocktail was a great pairing to the apple crumble.
