About This Pub
Ah, the Crooked Billet in Nazeing is one of those cosy spots that feels like a proper local haunt, where you can pop in for a pint and end up lingering for the atmosphere. I love how it's family-run, with staff who are just so approachable and make you feel right at ease, like you're catching up with friends over a drink. They've got this wonderful traditional English pub feel, complete with entertaining events and even free BBQs that add a real community spirit – it's brilliant for a relaxed get-together. The drinks are fairly priced and the food sounds spot on from what folks have said, especially if you're there for a party or just enjoying the garden on a nice day. On the downside, it's not ideal if you're a bit of a beer buff, as there are no real ale pumps and the selection leans towards bottled options, which might not excite the enthusiasts among us. Plus, a few tables are wobbly, which is a minor niggle but noticeable if you're settling in for the evening. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back night with good company, as long as you're not too fussy about the brews – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

Cons
-
No real ale on tap, which might leave beer enthusiasts a bit disappointed as it's mostly bottled options like London Pride and Doom Bar.

Some of the tables are a tad rickety and could do with an update, taking away from the overall comfort just a smidge.
-
The beer selection isn't extensive, so it might not be the first choice for those seeking a wide variety of brews.

Fabulous little pub, newly taken over and have great entertainment on
Attended a holy communion party there on Sunday and were really impressed
. Food was amazing and just the right size for a bouncy castle and the staff were really friendly and approachable. Only thing I'd suggest is some of the tables were a bit rickety and could do with being replaced. Would definitely go back.
Called and made a table reservation, staff couldn't of been more helpful. Had a great afternoon with friends in the garden and luckily the weather held out and we didn't need the marquee. Nice selection of lagers and a few beers, have recently started doing food so will have to go back to try...
