About This Pub
Ah, the Cock Inn – it's one of those places that just feels like a breath of fresh air in Barnet, tucked away with that charming country pub vibe right in the heart of things. I've got to say, what really stands out is the food; it's all about those fresh, flavoursome dishes made with the best ingredients, whether you're after a hearty main or something lighter to nibble on. Pair that with the super friendly staff who go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable, and you've got a spot that's perfect for a laid-back afternoon or evening. The outdoor garden is an absolute gem when the weather's on your side, and being dog-friendly means it's great for those who want to bring their four-legged mates along. On the flip side, though, there have been a few grumbles about pricing mismatches, like an old menu leading to unexpected charges, which can put a bit of a dampener on things. And if you're planning a longer linger, you might find yourself nudged along after about 90 minutes, so it's worth keeping that in mind if you're after a more leisurely pace. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub enthusiasts – the highs definitely outweigh the lows, but it's good to go in with your eyes open for a balanced experience.

-
The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in; it's that warm welcome that really sets the tone for a lovely visit.

-
Being dog-friendly is a brilliant touch, so you can pop in with your furry friend without any fuss.
-
They've got a solid selection of classic pub dishes, beers, and cocktails that make it a go-to for a relaxed outing.
Cons
-
There can be a bit of confusion with prices, like when the menu on the table doesn't match what you're charged, which might leave you feeling a tad caught out.
-
Sometimes you might feel a bit rushed if you're enjoying your meal, as they could ask you to move on after about 90 minutes, even if you thought you had longer.
-
While the food's generally good, it might not blow you away every time – a few folks have said it's decent rather than extraordinary.

Enjoyed our dinner, lovely cocktails, really nice staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Added plus that it is dog friendly.
It is a great spot for a relaxed pub experience and sunny day drink in the garden. The food was decent, offering a good selection of classic pub dishes, beer, sider and other alcoholic beverages. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The interior had a cozy feel, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal or a drink. While there’s room for slight improvement, it’s definitely a solid choice for a casual outing.
We had a wonderful time at The Cock Inn! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Our server, Millie, was friendly and attentive, and the food prepared by Dana and the kitchen team was top-notch. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this place for a great dining experience.
I visited the restaurant on a Thursday night with a friend and we enjoyed the festive menu. The food was impeccable perfectly served and tasted amazing best dinner so far ! I can’t think of one thing to fault it.
Also the service was amazing Maisie was friendly polite and couldn’t do more for us but Richard in particular stood out! He went above and beyond for us and always does!
Food good, Wine prices on menu different from what we were charged. Told that was the old menu. In that case it should not be on table.
Booked at 1430 and was under the impression we had the table for 2 hours although after 90 minutes we where asked to move if we had finished eating.
Understand there was a problem with the booking system but still not great.
Staff were good and did there best during a very busy service.
