About This Pub

Ah, the Cock Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Leighton Buzzard, you know? From the moment you walk in, there's this warm, inviting vibe that makes you want to settle in for a bit. The food's a real highlight; they've got these sizzling skillets and flame-grilled burgers that are spot on, all made with fresh ingredients and even options for veggies and vegans, which is great if you're watching what you eat. Plus, it's all at fair prices, so you won't break the bank treating yourself or the family. I love how they're involved in the community, running events like Easter breakfasts that bring people together – it's those little touches that make it feel special. But, let's be honest, it's not perfect; I've heard a few tales of staff being a bit off-hand or not paying attention when you're trying to order, which can leave you feeling a bit miffed. And if you're after a peaceful evening, the noise from families having a laugh might be a bit much. Overall, though, it's a solid choice for a good night out with mates or a family meal – just go in with the right expectations, and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The warm and welcoming atmosphere really makes you feel at home, like you're popping in for a chat with old mates.
  • They've got cracking food options with fresh ingredients, including tasty sizzling skillets and burgers that hit the spot, plus vegan and vegetarian choices for everyone.
  • Great value for money, with honest prices and daily offers that make it easy on the wallet without skimping on quality.
  • It's a proper community hub, hosting fun events like Easter breakfasts and supporting local charities, which adds a lovely touch of heart to the place.
  • Family-friendly vibes with activities for the little ones, making it a brilliant spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.
Cons
  • Service can sometimes fall short, with staff occasionally seeming a bit distracted or even a tad rude, which puts a damper on things.
  • It can get a bit noisy, especially with families and kids around, so if you're after a quiet pint, you might need to pick your spot carefully.

We came here for a quick bite to eat and that is what we got! The food came so fast, hot and fresh! We used the table order QR code. There was a noisy family in there with kids running about. But i guess they were all just having a nice time (we are quiet people and sat in a corner away from them) lol .

We went to the Easter breakfast recently at the pub and it was such a wonderful and well thought out event. Super appearance by the Easter Bunny! Great fun was had by all, adults and children alike! Food was great and well enjoyed. We often stop by for lunch also and enjoy the fish and chips. Lovely garden space too. The menu has great variety, an excellent kid's menu too and really good value for money. Service is pretty quick and staff are very friendly. The pub is very community orientated and a great place to bring people together.

I took my daughter to a Easter breakfast yesterday and we had so much fun with decorating and Easter chick which she thoroughly enjoyed and then breakfast was ready, my daughter was able to colour in at the table whilst enjoying her breakfast with her friends. It was a lovely family atmosphere. We then had an Easter egg in the pub garden and then met the Easter bunny to receive a goodie bag. We will definitely be back next year 😃

Was a nice little pub in a quite little village but we waited to be served and was ignored by staff who were chatting away with others. Then rudely asked if we were waiting while in the queue. The garden was lovely tho.
