Our recent visit to your establishment on Mother's Day was a disappointing one. We had high hopes for a special celebration with our mothers, but unfortunately, the food and service fell short of our expectations.
We had the Mother’s Day set menu, which sounded promising, but the reality was underwhelming. One dish was sent back, and overall, the food lacked flavor and seemed to be pre-cooked from frozen ingredients. Specifically, the mashed potatoes were hard and tasteless, and the beef dish was overcooked and dry, more like dried jerky.
We were also disappointed to find that the vegetables and potatoes appeared to be cooked from frozen. For a pub with so much potential, it was shocking to experience such subpar food quality.
Furthermore, we encountered some issues with the service. The young staff, although friendly, seemed to need additional training. We also noticed that some staff members were wearing dirty t-shirts, which didn't align with our expectations for a clean and welcoming environment.
To top it off, we discovered an error on our bill, which resulted in an overcharge of almost £90. This was a significant amount, especially considering the poor quality of food we received.
In conclusion, while your pub has a lovely atmosphere, our experience was marred by substandard food and service. We hope that you will take our feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to provide better quality food and service to your customers.

Staff were fine but there were so many things on the menu that weren’t available. When we did get our food from what was left on the menu, the food was not edible - the gammon that was insanely salty, overcooked sea bass and hunters chicken that was rock hard. We were offered a refund on the food but I’m not keen on coming back here.
I visited Coach & Horses on a Friday night with a friend. We had a booking, and although the pub wasn’t full, it had a nice, cosy atmosphere. The pub is spacious with two areas: a bar with TVs for sports fans and a quieter seating area where we were placed.
The service was fast and friendly, which we appreciated. However, the food was disappointing. I had sausages and mash with gravy on the side. The sausages seemed pre-cooked and reheated, and the mashed potatoes were some of the worst I’ve had—lumpy, unseasoned, and lacking any real flavour. We also shared the fried squid starter, but it was equally underwhelming, completely unseasoned.
While the atmosphere and service were nice, the food didn’t match the standard. If the kitchen improved, this place could be great.
We were amongst a group of around 25 people who took over an entire wing of the establishment.
It was very jovial and the atmosphere was fabulous.
Young and old plus a pet were part of our party.
The Food consumed was mainly from the sandwich selection which was delicious and prepared with the freshest ingredients. I wish I had taken photos but will be back for the sicken, bacon, and avocado on brown with those delicious chunky chips asap.
I could tell that the weekends must be seriously fun in this pub.
