About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the City Road Inn – it's one of those hidden gems in Manchester that just feels like a proper local haunt. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are absolute stars; they're so welcoming and attentive, like that host Nicki who folks rave about for making everyone feel at ease. The pies are a real treat, and paired with a cold pint, it's just the thing for a laid-back afternoon or evening catch-up. The place has this cosy, warm aura that makes it perfect for all sorts, whether you're there with work mates or just nipping in for a quiet one. On the downside, it's a pity there's no website to peek at the offerings in advance, and being unclaimed online means it might not always have the latest info at your fingertips. Still, with that solid 4.3 rating, it's clear most people leave with a smile, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after an affordable, no-fuss pub experience – just don't expect anything too flashy, and you'll have a grand time.

Cons
-
There's no website or online presence, which makes it a bit tricky to check the menu or any events before you head over
-
As it's unclaimed on Google, it might not be as polished online, so you could miss out on updates or special offers
-
It has that classic old-fashioned pub feel, which is charming but might not appeal if you're after something a tad more modern or trendy

This is such a great local. Super underrated. Very friendly staff, great pints, very cosy interior. Would recommend for all age groups and all types of people. This is a fantastic spot to have a chinwag over a cold pint and pie. It has warm aura to the place that makes it very easy to unwind in.
Awesome food with the most amazing service. Nicki went out of her way to try and accomodate our football needs and was a the most convivial of hosts. Incredible service and made to feel incredibly welcome. Thank you.
Had the most amazing time at the city inn ! welcoming to tourists and locals alike and OMG the pies are to die for !! Nicky was a fabulous hostess and couldn't do more for us ! will be returning very soon
A great, old fashioned pub with really good beer and, if you like pies, you will thoroughly enjoy this place. I definitely recommend a visit.
I come here often with my work colleagues but visited today with friends in preparation for the St. Patrick's day parade. Delicious Guinness, great pies and incredible staff. Highly recommend
