About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about The Bar at The Spirit of Manchester Distillery – it's become one of my go-to spots for a proper drink in the city. The cocktails are just brilliant; they're crafted with real passion, using their own spirits and some clever twists on classics, like the ones inspired by music playlists. If you're into gin, you're in for a treat, as it's all made right there on site. The setting under those historic arches adds such a lovely, intimate touch, making it feel special without being too stuffy. Pair that with some tasty food options that highlight local goodies, and you've got a great evening lined up. On the flip side, it's not the cheapest place around, so you might want to plan ahead if you're watching the pennies, and the food portions can be a bit on the modest side, which is a shame when everything tastes so good. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for a night out with friends or a celebration, as long as you're up for splashing out a little for that extra quality.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The cocktails are absolutely stunning, especially if you're a gin enthusiast – they've got this creative edge that really hits the spot.
-
The atmosphere is spot on, tucked away in historic railway arches that give it a unique, cosy feel in the heart of Manchester.
-
The food pairs brilliantly with the drinks, using top-notch local produce like artisan cheeses and fresh breads, making it perfect for a proper sit-down.
-
Service is warm and knowledgeable; the team clearly knows their craft and makes you feel right at home.
Cons
-
It can get a bit pricey, so it's probably best for special occasions rather than a casual night out.
-
Portions on the food side are a tad small, which might leave you wanting a bit more bang for your buck.

Really nice food, cocktails are stunning. Great place to go if you love gin! Bit expensive
Came here for our anniversary because we were super impressed by the Art of Liquid menu. Unseen before in Manchester, as art graduates we feel a little nerdy about it.
Beautiful designs. Many congratulations to the people who made this!!!! Truly an art brought to life.
I had the Up & Away and it was gorgeous, silky sweet. My partners adored their drink Feast of Herod- so beautiful. The Deep Red is very bold and it looks like the painting.
Lovely service thank you to the staff. Special thanks to Ammarah. Thank you!!!🪻
Great spot with a bar and in-house distillery! Cocktails were outstanding, and the food was delicious, though portions were small and priced on the higher side. Still, a fantastic experience overall. 4.5/5 stars!
The drinks were creative and delicious with great attention to detail. The bartender was friendly and really knew their craft. The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for a night out. Highly recommend!
I have visited Three Little Words on numerous occasions and every time I have had a great time. They now do a lunch menu so why not a better time to visit! The food, service and atmosphere is great, you can actually have a conversation with friends in here. Faye is always very pleasant and welcomes you with open arms. This place really is a hidden gem!
