About This Pub
Ah, Charnwood Brewery – what a lovely little find in the midst of Leicestershire! From what I've gathered from the reviews and their website, it's clear that this place really knows how to brew happy beer, as they put it. Everyone's raving about the tasty ales, like that straw-coloured White Fox or their Blonde Lager Style Ale, which folks are calling unique and utterly delicious. The team there sounds like a bunch of absolute stars, always ready with a warm welcome and plenty of insights into their brews, making it feel personal and fun. It's fantastic to see a local business thriving, with options to grab everything from bottles to mini kegs right on site. On the flip side, though, their hours are pretty restricted, just Sundays for the most part, so you might have to plan ahead if you're keen to swing by. And while it's not your typical pub with a roaring fire and live music, it's still a solid spot for picking up some quality drinks to take away or enjoy in a more relaxed setting. All in all, if you're into supporting local craft and fancy a pint that's a cut above, I'd say give it a go – it's got that genuine, heartfelt touch that makes pubbing around here so enjoyable.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beers are absolutely cracking – their award-winning cask, keg, and bottled options are full of flavour and perfect for a proper pint lover.
-
The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable; they'll chat with you about your favourites and explain everything in detail, making you feel right at home.
-
It's a family-run spot in the heart of Leicestershire, with a real local vibe that's open and inviting, plus you can buy beer directly from the brewery to enjoy at home.
-
They've got a great range, including mini kegs and bags-in-box, which is brilliant for trying out different brews without committing to a full night out.
Cons
-
The opening hours seem a bit limited, mostly just on Sundays from 10am to 3pm, which might make it tricky to pop in if you're planning a spontaneous visit.
-
It's more of a brewery shop than a full-on pub, so you might not get that cosy seating area for lingering over a few drinks like you would in a traditional boozer.

Their service is so nice, patiently listen to my favourite and explain their products in detail. Personally love their beers which let me experience a unique flavour especially the lager (LISKA, Blonde Lager Style Ale). Really recommend you to visit the brewery and taste the beers!
