About This Pub

You know, I recently had a wander into Cafe-Ambience on Market Street, and it honestly left me with a big smile – it's one of those places that just gets it right without trying too hard. The food is spot on; think fresh, made-to-order breakfasts, amazing milkshakes, and those air-fried chips that are just irresistible – it's clear they're using quality ingredients that make every bite worthwhile. What really stands out, though, is the service; the team is so warm and engaging, always chatting away and making sure you're happy, which gives it that homely feel you don't always find elsewhere. The owners being so hands-on adds a nice touch too, like they're genuinely invested in the place. On the flip side, it's a tad small, so if you're with a big group, you might end up feeling a bit squished, and it closes up early most days, which isn't ideal for evening plans. Plus, their website's a bit of a faff with errors, so you might have to just turn up and see for yourself. All in all, it's a solid choice for a budget-friendly, feel-good meal, and I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area – just keep those little niggles in mind for the full picture.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is absolutely delicious – from hearty breakfasts to tasty club sandwiches and milkshakes, it's all made with high-quality ingredients that really hit the spot.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming; they go out of their way to make you feel at home, with owners who are hands-on and attentive, which adds a lovely personal touch.
  • It's a charming little spot with a more upmarket feel than your average cafe, offering a clean and cosy atmosphere that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up over a meal.
  • Prices are inexpensive, so you get great value without breaking the bank, making it an easy choice for a casual outing.
Cons
  • It's a small venue, which means it might feel a bit cosy for larger groups or busier times, potentially limiting space if you're after somewhere more spacious.
  • The website seems to have some issues, like network errors, so it's not the easiest to check menus or details online before heading out.
  • Operating hours wrap up fairly early, around 4 or 6 pm most days, which could be a downside if you're looking for a late-night spot to linger.

Stopped by for breakfast yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming — I noticed them engaging warmly with customers and going out of their way to ensure everyone had a great experience. They’re a real credit to your business.

This is a small lovely little venue that has a look that is more-up market looking than the average cafe. The staff are friendly and the lovely owners are very hands-on, which is a pleasant surprise for a business these days. Food is a typical cafe menu with a few improvements and has a Weight Watchers section as well for people. They also sell alcohol if you fancied a drink. What's also different from your average cafe is they often have events here, host private parties and do cocktail learning sessions which i think is awesome!

Been in today with friends. Have been meaning to go in for some time and I wish I had been sooner! I had a vanilla milkshake and it was incredible. High quality ingredients and tasted delicious 😋 The food my friends had looked amazing and will definitely be returning to try some.

Really nice local business, with high quality food and standards of cleanliness. All food is made to order. Fell in love with the Club Sandwich and air fry chips 💕 and the breakfast is good too. Since inputting the partitions personally I think it’s improved the experience due to more privacy. 100% Worth a visit.
