About This Pub
Ah, Baobab Cafe – it's one of those places that just makes you smile as soon as you walk in. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the coffee is an absolute highlight; folks rave about how it's some of the best in town, using those posh Espresso Oro beans that give it that rich, satisfying kick. The food's another winner – think fresh, customisable meals that are spot-on for anyone watching their diet, with plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices that don't skimp on flavour. It's all about that homemade touch, whether it's a hearty club sandwich or a slice of cake that looks too good to resist. The team behind the counter are proper lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, which adds to the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere – and it's great that they welcome dogs too, so you can bring the whole family along. On the flip side, not every drink is a home run; I've heard a couple of mentions about the mango smoothie being a tad underwhelming, and it's a shame if you're eyeing up their online shop only to find things out of stock. Still, with such high ratings and glowing feedback, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a solid experience overall, making it a top pick for a casual stop-off in Loughborough. If you're after good vibes and great grub without the hefty price tag, I'd say give it a go – you might just find your new favourite spot.

We visited today and had a lovely lunch. The club sandwich was great and very filling 😊 The coffee was good and the cake selection looked excellent! Friendly staff and good service. Will visit again when we’re in the area.
Had pleasure of having lunch here with my daughter. What a little gem of a cafe. Great choice of food, sandwiches, breakfasts, savoury and great selection of cakes and treats with a wonderful selection of drinks to suit all. Cater for dietary requirements too. Staff friendly and helpful. Service good. Prices very reasonable. Definitely be back.
Really good tasting food. I had a club sandwich but swapped the mayo for hummus. The sandwich was fantastic.
Mango smoothie was ok, wouldn’t order that again.
When back in Loughborough I will visit again though. This is a nice central location and easy to find.
Went here for a sunny day with my friends. Everything was amazing - there were so many vegan and gluten-free options which supports everybody, no matter what they eat. The drinks, sandwiches and desert we ordered came freshly created and just the way we wanted. In general, this is the best tourist stop in Loughborough for coffee.
I recently visited Baobab Cafe with my family all the way from Ireland. We were absolutely delighted with the experience. The cafe's menu is truly amazing, catering to every dietary requirement. The variety of options ensured that each member of my family found something they loved. The homemade cakes were a delightful treat, and the locally roasted coffee was simply delicious. What made our visit even more special was the fact that my daughter proclaimed the milkshake she had as the best she's ever tasted. Baobab Cafe has certainly left a lasting impression on us, and we'll definitely be back whenever we're in the area.
Thank you Baobab Cafe
