About This Pub

Ah, the Bulls Head – it's one of those neighbourhood pubs that feels like a proper local haunt in King's Norton, Birmingham. I've got to say, it's got that inviting charm where you can pop in for a casual chat or settle in for the match with a cold one in hand. The staff are usually spot on, making you feel right at home, and it's particularly smashing for hosting events in their private room, whether it's a celebration or something more sombre like a wake – they've handled those with real care from what I've heard. Sports enthusiasts will love the live coverage; it's a lively spot to cheer on your team with the crowd. On the flip side, though, it's not without its flaws – a few mates have grumbled about the toilets being less than pristine, and it can get a bit boisterous, which might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're after a peaceful pint. All in all, it's a decent choice for a laid-back evening, especially if you're keeping an eye on the budget, but I'd suggest checking it out on a quieter night to get the best of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The Bulls Head offers a really welcoming atmosphere, perfect for catching up with mates over a pint in a cosy spot.
  • It's brilliant for sports fans, with regular coverage of Sky Sports and TNT, making it a top choice for watching the big games.
  • The private function room is a gem – ideal for special occasions like anniversaries or wakes, with plenty of space and helpful staff on hand.
  • Prices are quite reasonable, so you won't break the bank for a good night out.
  • The team behind the bar is generally friendly and attentive, adding to that homely local pub vibe.
Cons
  • Some folks have mentioned the toilets being in a bit of a state, which can put a damper on things.
  • It can get a tad rowdy at times, with the crowd not always to everyone's taste, so it might not suit those after a quiet evening.
  • Experiences can vary; while it's great for events, a few have had off days that left them underwhelmed.

We hired the private function room to celebrate our 25th anniversary as this pub was where we held our wedding reception, the upstairs room is a fantastic space for private party’s. The very new assistant manger was on hand at the bar and gave excellent service! Showing some photos of how the room can be transformed chair covers etc supplied by a recommendation from the landlady flowers and board supplied by The flower Barn design Birmingham Also to add the food supplied by The Bull was excellent and very good value x

Lovely lounge room that we hired on 31st January 2025. Sadly, it was for our grandsons funeral reception. The staff were very kind and set up the room perfectly. Would recommend and use again.
