About This Pub
Ah, Broadwood Farm – it's one of those places that really hits the spot for a relaxed meal out in Glasgow. I've got to say, the food is a highlight; their carvery and pizzas are fresh and full of flavour, and with deals like 50% off, it's easy on the wallet too. It's got that family-friendly feel with loads of options for everyone, and the staff are just brilliant, always up for a chat and even spoiling the dogs with treats. Plus, it's heartwarming to see them supporting local charities – makes you want to come back. On the flip side, though, there are a few niggles; like that sundae that didn't quite deliver as promised, or the waits between courses that can leave you twiddling your thumbs. And if you're seated in the wrong spot, it might get a bit nippy in winter. All in all, it's a decent choice for a bite with mates or family – just go in with realistic expectations, and you'll likely have a good time.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely cracking, with tasty carvery roasts and fresh stone-baked pizzas that offer brilliant value for money, especially with those daily deals like 50% off burgers and pizzas.
-
It's a really family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, plenty of seating, and even options for veggies and vegans, making it easy to find something for everyone.
-
The staff are top-notch – always helpful and friendly, and it's lovely how they're so dog-friendly, going out of their way to make furry friends feel at home.
-
They've got a community spirit, supporting local charities, which adds a nice touch and makes you feel good about popping in for a meal.
Cons
-
Some dishes can feel a bit underwhelming, like that build-your-own sundae that turned up in a tiny bowl instead of something more substantial, making it seem overpriced at nearly £7.
-
Waiting around between courses can drag on, which might put a damper on your visit, especially if you're in a rush or with little ones.
-
Certain tables, like 25 and 26, can get pretty chilly in winter, so you might end up feeling the cold and having to ask for the heating.
-
Drinks aren't always spot on – one review mentioned a watery hot chocolate that was a letdown, so it pays to keep expectations in check.

Ordered a build your own sundae, thinking it would come in a sundae glass, but it came in what can only be described as a baby's feeding bowl. It also said you could choose your sauce and toppings. We were only offered sauce. Bit of a rip-off, considering it's nearly £7
Wow great wee place now been refurbished.staff fantastic. very dog friendly couldn't do enough to keep finlay our collie watered and given lots of treats from staff not to mention it was opening night well worth a visit
The food was lovely and the staff were nice but there was a lot of waiting around between courses. Avoid sitting at tables 25 and 26 in winter. However, thank you to the staff as it felt like they put the heat on after I mentioned that I was cold.
Post edit: thank you for coming back to me. I think that "service" in these reviews should separate into "service" and "waiting times". The service to the table and at the bar was friendly but the waiting times in between were long.
Visited for the first time on the 15th of September as we really fancied a Sunday dinner/carvery. Did not disappoint!! Lovely place with a nice atmosphere. Plenty of seating and different sections. Menu has a great selection. The carvery area is well set up with your meats, veg and then over to your sauces/gravy etc. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious! Also tried the pizza pinwheels starter and they were amazing!! For dessert I had salted caramel profiteroles and they were incredible!! Will definitely be returning. Would recommend a visit if you’re in the area!
My Mrs and I visited here on 28/8/24 for something to eat we opted for 5 sharing plates, a hot chocolate and a cappuccino, I returned my hot chocolate as it was just watery and worse chocolate I've ever tasted, the lady gave me another drink in place of chocolate, fresh orange and lemonade, that also was not very nice, the mini pizza's were very very small and bland, the cheesy nachos had a cheap sauce that made the nachos very soggy, the holummi fries were only 5 of them very thin and cold, the fried mushrooms were dripping in fat and the chicken bits were not really nice at all the honey sauce used was like chemical tasting, we already paid for the meal, there was nobody about as we did want to let them know the food was absolutely in my opinion fit for rodents to eat, we did sample a couple of bits of the food and in the end we walked out leaving the food and most of my orange drink behind, it was that bad, will definitely NOT recommend or go back in to this place, and it might seem harsh but the food was that bad on the day we went it. You can see buy the photos how much food we left, so dissapointed.
