About This Pub

Ah, Brixton Brewery Tap Room – it's one of those places that just hits the spot if you're after a proper craft beer experience without breaking the bank. I've got to say, the selection of beers is brilliant; they're serving up fresh brews that taste miles better than what you'd get in a standard pub, and it's all at prices that won't leave you regretting your round. The staff are an absolute delight, always chatting away and sharing tips on what to try next, which makes the whole visit feel more like catching up with mates than just grabbing a drink. Plus, if you're up for it, the brewery tours are a real treat – you get to dive into how they make their stuff, and ending with a free pint is a nice cherry on top. On the flip side, though, it's tucked under a train track, so you might deal with a bit of noise or no phone signal at all, which could be frustrating if you're trying to coordinate plans or scroll through your phone. And it does fill up quickly, especially on evenings and weekends, so you might end up standing or waiting for a seat. All in all, it's a gem for beer lovers looking for something authentic and local, but it's worth going in with the right expectations to make the most of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beers are absolutely spot on – fresh, tasty brews straight from the source, with a great variety including some taproom exclusives that you won't find elsewhere.
  • It's a wallet-friendly option compared to your average pub; you'll get more bang for your buck here, making it perfect for a casual night out.
  • The staff are genuinely friendly and knowledgeable, always up for a chat about the beers or recommending something new – it really adds to the welcoming atmosphere.
  • They've got brewery tours that are well worth it, with informative guides and even a free pint at the end; it's a fun way to learn more about the brewing process.
  • There's a nice vibe with chilled-out music and even some vinyl on offer, plus plenty of merchandise to pick up as souvenirs.
Cons
  • The lack of phone signal and WiFi can be a bit of a nuisance if you need to check something quickly or stay connected, though it does encourage you to just relax and enjoy the moment.
  • Being located under a train track might mean some background noise or signal issues, which could disrupt the experience on busier days.
  • It can get quite busy, especially on weekends, so snagging a table isn't always straightforward, and the opening hours are mostly evenings and weekends, which might not suit everyone.

Great brewery tour. Brixton Brewery is not too far from Brixton station. Guide was very knowledgeable about Brixton Brewery and how they produce their many different beers. The free pint of beer at the end was a great surprise

Great stuff, delicious beers on tap. Nice little venue and we managed to get a 2 person table. No phone signal though, probably due to it being underneath a train track. No wifi either but I suppose it’s no bad thing!

25/10/24: Hemel Hempstead and Brixton Weekend. Fantastic tap room, plenty of choice. Doubles as a vinyl store, playing chilled out beats! Plenty of Brixton Brewery merchandise to buy too! Warm welcoming service!

Fun taproom in Brixton! We drink their canned beer and wanted to pop in to try in person. The taproom offers flights of three tastings, we ordered the reliance, low voltage, and off grid. All the beers were very tasty. The bartender was very friendly and conversational. Overall great experience!
