About This Pub
Ah, the Bricklayers Arms, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a home away from home, tucked away in Salford near the famous Lads Club. From what I've gathered chatting about it with folks, the real highlight is the warm, friendly vibe – you walk in and it's all smiles and easy conversation, whether you're there for a quick pint or to catch the match on the telly. They've nailed the drinks side of things too, with a great range of Joseph Holt beers and some tempting offers that keep things budget-friendly, making it a go-to for anyone wanting value without skimping on quality. The entertainment options are a nice touch; imagine belting out tunes at karaoke or sinking a few darts while the game's on – it's got that community spirit that's so hard to find these days. On the flip side, though, if you're peckish for more than just crisps or nuts, you might be a tad disappointed, as the food doesn't go beyond basic bar snacks. And with last orders at 11 PM, it's not the spot for all-nighters, but for a laid-back catch-up, it's spot on. Overall, I'd say it's a gem for local pub goers who appreciate the simple pleasures, but keep in mind those little limitations if you're planning a bigger outing.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely spot on – it's a proper friendly spot where you can relax and chat with mates, especially with the chilled vibes and welcoming staff.
-
They've got a cracking selection of beers and spirits, including award-winning lagers and some great deals like monthly offers and Fizz Friday, making it easy on the wallet.
-
Loads of entertainment to keep things lively, from karaoke and DJ nights at the weekends to live sports on the TVs, plus a dartboard for a bit of fun.
-
It's dog-friendly and has a nice little beer garden, perfect for enjoying a pint outside on a sunny day.
-
The pub's in a handy location near Salford Lads Club, and it's inexpensive overall, so you won't break the bank for a good night out.
Cons
-
Food options are pretty limited – it's mostly just bar snacks, so if you're after a proper meal, you might need to head elsewhere.
-
The opening hours wrap up at 11 PM every day, which is a bit early if you're hoping for a late-night session.
-
While the drinks are affordable, the variety might not thrill everyone, as it's focused heavily on beers and spirits without much else standing out.

This place never disappoints. The menu has something for everyone, and each dish is made with care. The chocolate lava cake is pure heaven.
Brilliant friendly boozer. We snuck in just before last orders and were welcomed, served and enjoyed nearly an hour of drink and chat before home time.
Good place , i been there with my mate , great atmosphere , reasonable prices , i recommend this place to passers and locals .
The best pub in this area, nice people and vibes!
Love the place. Fantastically priced pints of a respectable variety. Very chilled, mature vibe. Usually has a bit of sport on the telly.
No food available except bar snacks so I've given that a lower rating
