About This Pub
Ah, Bramley Farm – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Altrincham, with its warm, friendly vibe and that classic Farmhouse Inn charm. I have to say, the carvery really stands out; from what I've heard and seen, the meats are fresh and generously portioned, making it a brilliant choice for a Sunday roast or a midweek treat. It's especially handy if you're out with the family, thanks to the indoor play area that keeps the little ones entertained while you catch up over a pint. The staff add to the appeal, being chatty and attentive, which makes the whole experience feel more like popping round to a mate's for dinner. On the flip side, though, there are a few things that could do with a tweak – some folks have mentioned meals not being piping hot, and there've been worrying tales of food poisoning, which is enough to make you think twice before diving in. It can get a bit crowded too, so if you're after a quiet evening, you might want to time your visit carefully. All in all, it's a solid spot for affordable, hearty food and a relaxed atmosphere, especially if you're exploring the area near Dunham Massey, but I'd suggest keeping an eye on the food to ensure it's up to scratch. Give it a go if you're in the mood for a no-fuss pub outing, but go in with realistic expectations for a balanced experience.
Pros and Cons

It's brilliantly family-friendly with an indoor play area, making it a great spot for a relaxed outing with the kids.
-
The staff are warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile and quick service to make you feel right at home.
-

-
The atmosphere is cosy and inviting, ideal for a casual get-together or a quick bite near attractions like Dunham Massey.
Cons
-
There have been a few reports of food issues, like lukewarm meals or even food poisoning in some cases, which could put a dampener on your visit.
-
It can get pretty busy, especially during peak times, leading to waits or a more hectic vibe than you'd hope for.
-
Some experiences with the food have been hit-and-miss, with average quality mentioned in a few reviews, so it might not always live up to expectations.
-
While the drinks and desserts get praise, the main meals don't always hit the mark, which is a shame for a place focused on pub grub.

Had the most horrendous food poisoning after ordering a carvery yesterday. Drinks and dessert were tasty but the meal was lukewarm. Staff were friendly.
Disappointing End to an Otherwise Enjoyable Sunday Brunch
I recently visited Bramley Farm - Farmhouse Inns for Sunday brunch with family and friends and had mixed feelings about the experience. The ambiance was nice, the food was average and the FOH staff ( a small lady wearing glasses with dark hair) greeted us at the entrance and seemed unwelcoming. She gave us a small round table on the right of the entrance for 6 adults. I even asked her there were 6 of us as I saw four chairs were set up around the table. She gave us the menu and went off without saying a word about ordering at the counter. Anyway, all was going well with our brunch with friends until the visit took a disappointing turn.
We were seated promptly and had our food and drinks. However, at no point when we were seated were we informed that our table had a strict time limit. Near the end of our brunch, we were abruptly told we needed to vacate the table—despite not being given any prior notice or warning.
This left us feeling rushed and unwelcome, which put a damper on what had otherwise been a pleasant meal. I completely understand the need for turnover on busy days, but clear communication is key. Had we been informed about the time limit from the start, we could’ve planned accordingly.
Lack of transparency and abrupt handling of the situation left a bad taste. I hope management improves their communication so future guests aren’t caught off guard.
We visited as a party of five adults at lunchtime midweek and all decided to go for the carvery based on family recommendations, I went for the large and the rest of the group went for regular. There were three meat choices - beef, turkey and gammon, all three were moist and tender with generous portions but for me the major draw for this carvery is the quality and range of vegetables and sauces - three different types of potatoes, yorkshire pudding ,broccoli, cauliflower cheese, carrots, red cabbage and a few other veggies - all seemed freshly cooked and not dried up. Value for money you can't knock it, I just wish we lived a little closer to the restaurant - you wouldn't get that value for money in the South East! The desserts were large portions and although we didn't try them there were some enormous slices of cake and specialty ice creams. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bramley Farm for a carvery with the other half, I must say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was exceptionally fresh, you could tell everything had been prepared with care. The three meats beef, turkey and gammon were all incredibly tender packed with flavour, each bite was a delight, the quality was evident in every cut!
To my surprise, I even had the chance to taste some delicious crackling which was crispy and full of flavor, this was definitely an added bonus!
What truly impressed me however was the overall value for money. For under £30 we both enjoyed two large carveries and two drinks. Given the quality of the food and the portion sizes along with the friendly helpful staff, it's great value and we will certainly be visiting Bramley Farm again in the very near future.
Highly recommended!!
