About This Pub
Ah, Bittles Bar – it's one of those places that just feels like a proper gem in the heart of Belfast, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, keeping things running smoothly even when it's buzzing. The Guinness is a standout, tasting fresh and coming at a fair price, which is always a win for a good night out. And the decor? It's got that authentic Irish pub feel with stunning historic touches and an impressive whiskey collection that makes you want to linger. On the flip side, it's no secret that it fills up quickly, so you might end up jostling for space or waiting for a spot, and every now and then, someone has a less than stellar experience, which is a shame given how highly it's rated overall. Still, for anyone popping into Belfast for a pint or two, it's worth checking out – just go with the flow and you'll likely have a cracking time!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The service is absolutely spot-on – staff are attentive and make sure you're looked after, which really makes the visit memorable.
-
They serve a cracking Guinness that's reasonably priced and tastes spot on, perfect for a proper Irish pub experience.
-
The decor is gorgeous, with loads of character from the historic building and a massive range of whiskey bottles that add to the charm and fun atmosphere.
Cons
-
It can get pretty packed, especially on busy nights, which might make it a bit of a squeeze to find a seat or enjoy a quiet chat.
-
There have been a few off moments where things didn't quite live up to the hype, like one person having a disappointing visit despite the high praise from others.

First-class service! I was very impressed with Bittles Bar. A friend recommended it, and I appreciate that it can be a tourist attraction, so I was expecting to be a bit chaotic. However, the staff have this bar running like a well-oiled machine. They make sure to find you a seat and keep your glass full. I was very impressed and had a great pint! I highly recommend it!!!
Been wanting to check this place out for a while now. Everyone says it’s the best Guinness in Belfast for years. Even the Guinness guru himself was here a few weeks ago. Was over at Boundary brewing earlier and the 3 of us heading towards Belfast Central & thought we’d nip in for one on the way
As you can see there were multiple people outside drinking pints. No seats inside. We were waiting at bar about to put an order in when the owner I’m surmising came out from behind bar and pointed towards the door and said we’re full.
I would have been happy to have a pint outside but I can only surmise this lad just didn’t like the look of us or the sound of our accents who knows. Giving it one star.
Really nice bar in bustling area of Belfast. Reasonably priced Guinness - tastes very good too. Staff were super attentive and the decor inside the building lends itself well to the busyness and fun of the area. Nice to visit as a local or bring visitors to!
I love this pub. Made my trip to Belfast absolutely stunning. Vibes were so good, drinks were amazing and the service was impeccable. This is the place to be on a Friday night.
This pub is a famous institution in the city and it’s easy to understand why. The building itself is gorgeous, both outside and in, but be prepared for it to get busy given how small it is. There’s loads to admire with the decor inside including a massive range of whiskey bottles, and there’s a small amount of seating area on the pavement outside. Staff were friendly enough and very efficient, offering to bring drinks to the table too, and its a really authentic and traditional place for a drink in the city centre.
