About This Pub

You know, chatting about Balans in Kensington feels like sharing tips over a pint with mates – it's got this relaxed, stylish charm that's perfect for grabbing a bite any time of day. The food really shines through, with options like their famous full English or flavour-packed curries that have folks raving, and it's all served up with a global twist that keeps things fresh and exciting. The team there are dead helpful, making sure you're looked after from the moment you walk in, which adds to that homely feel, especially if you're with family or just popping in early doors. On the brighter side, the atmosphere is buzzing with great tunes and a welcoming energy, ideal for a casual catch-up or even a late-night wind-down. But, to keep it real, there have been a few slips, like that disappointing steak that didn't live up to expectations and the hassle with getting it fixed, so it might pay to choose wisely or speak up if something's off. All in all, it's a solid pick for us who enjoy a good pub scene – plenty of highs with just a couple of minor lows, making it worth a visit for those tasty moments and easygoing times.

This was amazing!! We were looking for a restaurant with great food, but also children friendly. And this restaurant truly exceeded our expectations. My husband’s curry was amazing, the meatballs were delicious, and so were the fish and chips. The chef was very accommodating to create something easy for our youngest child who is a picky eater. They had great drinks (Espresso Martini was outstanding and the beer my husband ordered) which were awesome after a long day of walking! The atmosphere was warm and welcome- but best of all was our server, David!! He was the nicest server we’ve ever experienced! So kind to our rambunctious children. Couldn’t recommend this place more if you’re looking for excellent food, fun drinks, great atmosphere, and amazing service!

I arrived to London early Sunday morning and jetlagged, really wanted a Full English. They let me in as soon as they opened and we're really polite. The full English was fantastic, especially the bread and sausage, would definitely recommend.

Don’t serve what you dont know how to cook, worst stake one can have. Absolutely can be be served in a plate the chef should know it. Just tell you how poor the standard are overall. And even after seeing how bad it was they did not have the decency to take it off the bill without asking. Taking a beer off the bill or offering a free dessert does not compensate for the afternoon that you wasted.

Great music and atmosphere. The service is friendly and mindful, special thanks to Charlotte and Daniel. The food is delicious! I recommend the full english breakfast, the french toast and the cheese omelette. The toilets are very clean.

It was a rather unplanned dinner for me and my family since we just wanted to eat in the area and saw they had nice menu options. It ended up being our favorite meal of the trip! The steak was well cooked, the thai curry was flavorful and the crispy brie were all amazing. The vibe was great and the staff were very attentive. Definitely would go back here the next time I visit London!
