About This Pub

Right, let's chat about Bakers Dozen in Bootle – it's one of those Hungry Horse spots that's become a go-to for a straightforward, budget-friendly outing. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the place really shines with its deals; you can tuck into some solid meals for a tenner, which is brilliant if you're watching the pennies or just fancy a treat without the guilt. The staff get a lot of praise for being dead helpful and chatty, making you feel right at home, and the atmosphere is just the ticket for a relaxed meal with the family or mates. The food's generally spot on too, with plenty of options that hit the spot and leave you feeling full. But, to keep it real, it's not all perfect – there have been a few moans about greasy burgers that didn't quite live up, and sometimes it's a struggle to track down a server when you need one, which can put a dampener on things. Still, with an overall rating hovering around 3.5, it's clear most folks have a good time, so I'd say it's worth popping in if you're nearby, just go in with an open mind and maybe avoid peak times if you're after seamless service.

Pros and Cons

  • Experiences vary, so you might have a brilliant day or one that's a bit lacklustre.

Place is normally alright but was terrible this time. Burger was dripping of grease all over the plate, 2 burgers went to waste, I would of liked to complain to the staff but there wasn't one to be found around the pub, not even behind the bar.

Many thanks to the lady who served us today (sorry can't remember your name) very pleasant and couldn't do enough for us. Food was lovely all round a great experience! 12th June half 11 hopefully our waitress gets the recognition she deserves.

The food was really nice, lots to pick from. All bar staff and kitchen staff were super polite and pleasant. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, which suits me down to the ground (this was at 2pm though) would definitely visit again.
