About This Pub
Ah, Atmosphere – it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a casual get-together in Salford. I've got to say, the food really stands out; whether it's a fresh burger or something simple, it's always spot on and doesn't leave you disappointed. The prices are still pretty decent, especially if you're a student looking for value, and the staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly. It's got that lively, youthful energy that's perfect for watching a footie match or just unwinding with mates, and it's open to all, not just the uni crowd. On the flip side, though, the menu could use a bit more variety to shake things up, and prices have inched up lately, which might sting a little if you're watching your wallet. Plus, there was that strange story in one review about an uncomfortable mix-up – probably not the norm, but it's worth noting if you're after a completely drama-free night. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time, with enough charm to keep you coming back, but keep an eye on those little niggles to manage expectations.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is spot on – think hot, fresh meals like the wham burger that's perfect for a hearty bite after a long day.
-
Prices are generally reasonable, especially for students, with drinks and specials that won't break the bank.
-
The staff are always lovely and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's a brilliant spot for catching live matches or just soaking up that youthful, inclusive vibe, open to everyone from students to locals.
-
There's a good variety of beers and food options, which keeps things interesting for a casual night out.
Cons
-
The food selection could do with a bit more variety to keep things exciting beyond the usual choices.
-
Prices have crept up a tad over the last year, so it might not feel as budget-friendly as it used to.
-
There was that odd mention of an uncomfortable incident in one review – sounds like a one-off, but it might make some folks hesitate at first.
-
As it's tied to the university, it can get a bit student-focused, which might not suit those after a more relaxed or mature crowd.

I mean, it ok.There's prices for sure. Food selection could be diverse. However ever since they tackled me to floor and mistook me as the peel parker blower and then smacked out my nan I just don't feel as comfortable as i used to be but is an option as a student. Well done.
Good food, and watched the Liverpool match against Villa. Got the wham burger with 5 patties and it was good. Can recommend.
I always love coming to Atmosphere, especially when the crowds aren't here. 😄 The food is always hot and fresh, and it's reasonably priced, as are the drinks! The workers are always so nice, too. It's gotten a little more expensive over the past year, but they've revamped their menu and do specials, so it's always worth coming here (to me).
So pleased I've discovered the atmosphere bar. Located within the university house this is the university's main SU bar but also well used by Peel Park visitors. The bar is located on the first floor of the building and is easily missed if you don't know it's there.
Once inside there are three distinct and different parts of the bar. Firstly the main bar and largest space is like a sports bar with plenty of screens to watch live sporting events. Secondly, there is a games bar with pool tables and retro arcade games and darts. Thirdly there is a mezzanine floor which carries a whole different decor and vibe. Much more intermate and lounge like you can easily find your own space to work or have a private drink.
I didn't sample the food but it appeared to be very good value for money. The beer selection was excellent and very well priced. £3.80 for a pint of Guinness and £3.70 for a pint of Madri. The Guinness was excellent too.
When I'm next in Peel Park I'll certainly pay a visit to Atmosphere.

Loved this place! It's a university bar, most frequented by UoS students, but open to the broader community as well. Beside the youthful atmosphere, not so young and old people can fit there as well. Prices are below the average and there is a diverse selection of beers and food. And I'm not afraid to say that their Guinness might even surpass the renowned mulligans.
