About This Pub
Oh, mate, let me tell you about Archers in Gidea Park – it's one of those pubs that just gets it right, you know? From the moment you walk in, the staff are on point, always smiling and making sure everything's just how you like it, which really sets the tone for a great visit. The food's a winner too; think hearty pub classics and those Sunday roasts that are well worth the trip – affordable and satisfying without any fuss. It's brilliant for watching the big games, like the Women's Euros or rugby tours, with that electric atmosphere that pulls you in. Plus, with perks like a beer garden and being dog-friendly, it's perfect for a relaxed day out with the family or mates. On the flip side, it does get packed during peak times, so planning ahead is a smart move, and if you're in the mood for something a bit more gourmet, you might find the options a tad straightforward. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub lovers, offering that genuine, homely feel that keeps you coming back for more.

Recent Reviews
Have been going to the Archers regularly since Tom took over, it’s absolutely fantastic on value for food and drinks.
Could not recommend it highly enough for anyone is the area or passing by.
The atmosphere is always brilliant and the the rest of the staff are always so helpful and welcoming.
Probably my favourite pub by a stretch!!!!
It's not often you find a place these days where you are met with a genuinely warm welcome - especially when it's your first visit. But I was compelled to write this review purely because of the care and attention I received when I took a client for lunch at this pub today. From the minute we arrived, Donna looked after us, making sure we were comfortable and clear on the menu options for gluten-free (my client is coeliac). The food came up in good time, and Donna couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy with everything and had all we needed.
Will definitely be returning in the very near future. Thank you for a great experience!
Absolutely love coming to this pub and love the staff in there as well. Always friendly and smiling. Food is also incredible in there, I can be fussy with certain foods and they can always cater to the small changes I make! Would recommend to everyone!
Not been in here for many years but was told that it was under new management so we thought we would give it ago. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. Friendly and inviting. We went for the Sunday roast, it was amazing and we'll worth the money. Definitely will be back again. We'll done to all xx
Excellent, engaging and enthusiastic are three words that describe the service I received from Donna. Having spent a laborious day in the City and worried about finding a place to eat on my return to my hotel, particularly as there was live football showing that night, I was assured by the lovely Donna that a place would be found for me and so it was! I was afforded a warm welcome and enjoyed the atmosphere complemented by a real log fire. The food was hot, served quickly, and the portions a good size. There was a good selection of drinks and the prices were very reasonable, certainly compared to the City. I very much appreciated Donna checking in from time to time to ensure that my dining experience met my expectations, and so it did. I do hope that the management will therefore find itself in a position to pass on my appreciation to Donna and her colleagues. Hope to be back when I am next in the area.
