About This Pub
Ah, Aragon House – it's one of those classic London pubs tucked away in Parsons Green that just draws you in with its historic charm and warm atmosphere. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's a brilliant spot for a proper Sunday lunch; folks are raving about the roasts, with massive portions of tender meat, crispy potatoes, and even standout sides like cauliflower cheese that make for a satisfying meal. The garden's a real gem too, perfect for soaking up the sun with a cold drink, and it's great that they welcome dogs, so you can bring the whole gang along. On the flip side, it's not all perfect – a few people have mentioned that some dishes come out a tad bland or dry, like the chicken that didn't quite deliver, and there was that awkward moment where a service charge was still tacked on despite some issues with the food. Still, with an overall solid rating and that welcoming feel, I'd say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, especially for a special occasion or just a casual pint, but maybe keep your expectations in check for the grub.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The Sunday roasts are an absolute treat, with tender lamb and juicy sharing platters that leave you feeling well chuffed.
-
Staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
It's brilliantly dog-friendly, so you can pop in with your four-legged mate for a pint and some grub.
-
The garden is a lovely spot for al fresco drinks, especially on a sunny day, with plenty of space to relax and chat.
Cons
-
Some dishes can be a bit bland or dry, like the chicken in one roast, which might leave you wanting a touch more flavour.
-
Food quality isn't always spot on, with reports of overly reheated meals that didn't quite hit the mark.
-
There have been niggles with service, such as the service charge still being added after a complaint, which feels a bit off-putting.

We had the Sunday roast at Aragorn House. The chicken was a bit bland, but the lamb was delicious and tender. Overall, a decent experience.
Had a fantastic Sunday Roast! 😃🥘 We were craving one but arrived late at 8:30pm, worried there might not be any left. Luckily, they still had two options (or maybe two portions—we took both anyway!). The staff were very welcoming, and oh my goodness, the portions were huge and absolutely delicious! It felt like the kitchen gave us all that was left as we were the last to dine. The Yorkshire pudding was a bit burnt, but as soon as we mentioned it, they replaced it immediately with fresh ones and extra hot gravy. A really lovely experience with great food!
Food needs work at Aragon House. We visited in early December, excited to find Roast Turkey & Trimmings on the menu. The food arrived excessively dry from reheating, leaving us no choice but to send it back. Our bill arrived with service charge still applied, showing lack of attention to detail.
Had a cracking Sunday lunch here over the weekend. We went for some of their sharing roasts, the gammon knuckle and lamb, both really, really good and the meat was melt in your mouth. I always find it hard to get decent roast potatoes in pubs but these were super crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. They’ve changed their menu recently and have some great new starters, like the potted rabbit we tried. Top tier food with service to boot!
Fantastic Sunday lunch. We had the porterhouse sharing platter which was outstanding. Juicy and tender meat with a great selection of sides including an amazing cauliflower cheese.
We finished with a panna cotta each which were a perfect end to the meal.
Sian was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for a perfect Sunday afternoon.
