About This Pub
Ah, the Admiral Codrington, what a delightful little find in the heart of Chelsea. It's one of those pubs that strikes just the right balance between lively and relaxed, with its cosy interior and that charming outdoor terrace that's ideal for a sunny afternoon pint or a hearty meal. From what I've gathered from folks who've popped in, the food is a standout – proper pub fare done well, with fresh, local ingredients shining through in dishes like their Sunday roasts, which sound absolutely mouthwatering. The drinks selection is another winner, boasting a great range of ales and cocktails that keep things interesting without overwhelming you. And let's not forget the team behind the bar; they're genuinely warm and attentive, making you feel like a regular from the get-go. On the flip side, it can get a bit noisy with the music cranked up at times, which might spoil a quiet catch-up, and its tucked-away location means it's not the easiest to stumble upon if you're new to the area. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone after an authentic pub experience in London – I'd say give it a go if you're in the mood for good company and even better vibes.

Really great pub tucked away near South Kensington station.
Delighted to sit in the mini-garden for a rare central London al fresco lunch. Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Felt like an authentic spot and not soulless like other chain pubs!
The Cod's a quality establishment, it feels comfortable and relaxed.
The large bow windows, the attractive heavy-set bar and the well-placed real flowers all mark this out as a classy venue.
It's a Butcombe pub, with eight of the brewery's beers available.
There's a drinks list which actually includes pints too, which is very rare and most welcome.
The pub was first licenced in 1830, and it was rebuilt in the 1860s as the railways in South Kensington took hold.
It'snamed after Admiral Codrington who fought in the Battle of Trafalgar as captain of a ship called the Orion.
The selection of beers was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Mostafa and his team truly made the evening special; I had such a great time with my friends. It was a memorable experience, and I really appreciated their efforts.
Came in this afternoon for a spot of lunch, was served by Francisco, and had a lovely time ! Very polite, well manner and attentive gentleman - the food came out nice and promptly. Our only comment is the music could have been turned down a notch, otherwise a pleasant experience. Thank you :)
Very cozy place with a warm atmosphere. Really friendly staff, especially the Spanish guy with glasses making great cocktails! Definitely coming back.
