About This Pub

Ah, William's Lounge Bar in Burnley – it's one of those places that just warms you up as soon as you step inside. From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are an absolute delight; they're friendly, attentive, and really know how to make everyone feel welcome, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or settling in for the evening. The drinks selection is spot on too – think great cocktails and a solid range of beers that keep the conversations flowing. And let's not forget the atmosphere; it's got that perfect mix of ages, with upbeat music on Fridays and Saturdays, plus live gigs that add a real spark, especially if you're a footy fan looking for a pre-match hangout. It's brilliant for groups, as they've handled large crowds well in the past. But, on the flip side, it's only open four days a week, so you might find yourself disappointed if you're keen for a midweek tipple. Plus, with no fresh reviews lately, it's hard to say if it's still hitting the same high notes – could be worth a visit to check it out yourself. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time, as long as you plan around the schedule; I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

Pros and Cons

  • They've got a cracking selection of cocktails and beers, perfect for unwinding after a long day or catching up with mates.
  • The atmosphere is spot on, with a good mix of ages and a lively vibe, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when the music's pumping.
  • Live music and entertainment add a real buzz, making it a great spot for a night out, and it's particularly handy for Burnley fans on match days.
  • It's a cosy little bar that's ideal for groups, with plenty of regular events to keep things interesting.
Cons
  • It's only open four days a week, which means you might have to plan around that if you're hoping for a spontaneous visit.
  • There haven't been any recent reviews, so it's a bit tricky to tell if the place is still as vibrant as it used to be.
  • The operating hours can seem a tad inconsistent from what's listed, which might catch you out if you're not checking in advance.

This is a really nice bar, I visited whilst up in Burnley for a football match. They play a good variety of music on a Friday night and the place seems to attract a good mixture of ages.

Great bar, good choice of cocktails and beers, great atmosphere, great music played by the resident djs on Fridays and Saturdays 😉 with the added bonus of live music on Saturday teatimes (starting at 5pm). Live music on Fridays and Sundays every once in a while. For the Burnley fan, match days are buzzing with pre-match drinks and complimentary pork pies & piccalilli on the bars. Good venue, good vibes 👍🍺😀

Excellent bar with friendly staff & landlord. Catered for a large group of us and kept the excellent beer flowing - a little too much in my own personal case.
