About This Pub

You know, I was having a look at Hatters Craft Bar the other day, and it sounds like a real hidden gem in Burnley. From what people are raving about in their reviews, they've got this brilliant range of craft beers and ales on tap, always rotating to keep things interesting, and it's all served up with a smile from the folks behind the bar who clearly love what they do. Prices are spot on too – nothing fancy that hits your wallet hard. The atmosphere is just lovely, with carefully chosen music at the perfect volume, and they've got live music or big games on the TV now and then, making it a great place to unwind. It's got that easy-going feel where you chat with the regulars like old mates. On the flip side, the hours aren't always straightforward; it's only open five days a week, and Sundays seem a bit hit or miss, so you'd want to check ahead. Plus, their online stuff is a bit sparse – just a Facebook page, really – and with only a few reviews so far, it might not be buzzing every night. All in all, if you're after a solid pint and good company without the crowds, it's worth popping in for a try.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Fantastic selection of craft beers and ales that keeps things fresh and exciting
  • Friendly and passionate staff who make you feel right at home
  • Really affordable prices, so you can enjoy a great pint without breaking the bank
  • Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a mix of good music and the occasional live event or match on the telly
  • That welcoming, family-like vibe where everyone seems to get along famously
Cons
  • The opening hours can be a tad unpredictable, with the bar only open five days a week and some variations on Sundays
  • Not much of an online presence beyond their Facebook page, which might make it tricky to get the latest info
  • It's still building up its reputation with just a handful of reviews, so it might feel a bit under the radar for now

Really enjoyed my visit (actually visits) here today. So good we came back for seconds! Nice eclectic mix of music chosen carefully at the right volume, great ale and keg selection. I recommend here as one of the places to visit in Burnley.

Argyle on tour!! Our 2nd pub before the match. Good real ales and friendly bar staff. Good banter with the locals. Still early but a few locals appearing...

Fantastic young bar with a lovely couple who are very passionate about what they do. Good rotating selection of craft ales and a couple of staple ones. Occasional live music, regular big game matches on TV. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, all the customers feel like family.

A great mixture of cask and keg complemented by an excellent selection of speciality cans. Superbly reasonable prices and excellent hosts. If you appreciate good beer and want to support a small business, frequent Hatter's Bar.
