Highly recommend West Beverly. Located right in the centre of Altrincham. Lovely atmosphere. Inside and outdoor eating/drinking space. Very clean.
Excellent service. Staff were all very welcoming and polite. Food was amazing.
Excellent value for money We had brunch there today and will definitely be returning.
Thank you Diana and Justin from Carol
Called in mid afternoon on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The place was buzzing with a great atmosphere and music. The food was really nice and fresh.
Nathan and his teams detail to attention made it extra special. Good beers too ! Will definitely be going again. Well done guys.
Great location and lovely drinks. However, be warned, despite the 2 for £11 margarita sign very clearly displayed outside (picture attached), the deal isn't actually always on.
We were only told the deal wasn't on when we came to pay for our drinks. We explained to the waiter that the main reason we ordered the margaritas was because of the 2 for £11 deal advertised (we were sat right next to the sign). We would have appreciated being told that the deal wasn't on when we ordered the drinks, and I remain confused as to why the sign is displayed when the deal isn't on? No where on the sign says the deal is only on certain days, it just says from 5pm-late (it was around 7pm when we ordered).
Despite explaining this to the waiter we still had to pay full price for the margaritas - sadly we won't be returning due to the false advertising.
(Thanks for your reply, however, that's actually not true, we had to pay full price for the drinks / no money was refunded back to us).
I have been there for a birthday party!
The service was very good, our waitress was looking after us all the evening. The nibbles were good, nice atmosphere, nice place! 100% recommended! 👍
I have been here couple of times before with my friends which I always enjoyed my time, however I felt the need to review my visit today.
I stepped in just around 2:18 pm on Sunday. Being welcomed by the waitress and offered a seat just by front window. Being served with a glass of water and offered a drink which I chose a coffee. Coffee served quickly and in less than 5 minutes my food was brought to me (I know the time as I took the picture of my food!).
First thing first: the food was lovely thanks to the chef! AND I really wanted to ENJOY my food!
HOWEVER:
Just 20 minutes after I’ve been served my food, while HALF of my plate was still full, a girl with grey suit (probably floor manager!) rushed to me asking am I finished? Which I replied no!
5 minutes after that I noticed she was staring at me and my plate while standing by the counter. I just felt so uncomfortable.
Bear in mind, there were other people seating as well, and I even checked if a new customer was waiting to be seated which no one was there.
The same lady mentioned to the group of people in front of me that they need to give their orders as the kitchen close at 4 pm and shop close at 5 pm. So I was thinking that I have enough time to finish my food!
Unfortunately, in 5-10 minutes later, a new girl came in front of me, while asking am I finished my food (and want a dessert!) , (while still there were food in my plate, and I didn’t put my plate away from me) took my plate and to be honest I was embarrassed to tell I WANT to finish my food, leave me alone!!!!
I was SHOCKED. I tried to sip my anger and sadness from their behaviour with remaining of my coffee however again noticed the stare of the GREY girl on me, which finally succeeded to urge me to pay to her and leave the shop.
I know maybe working on busy Sundays are not ideal. However, as someone who USED TO OWN a food business, I am aware making customers uncomfortable is one of the best way to ruin their good experiences.
The floor manager could respectfully mentioned to me I have specific amount of time to stay in the shop, however I still don’t think I was sitting there for too much time.
I walked out, and stepped into another cafe after having couple of minutes walk while they were going to close in 20 minutes time, however when I asked about can I seat there for a while the guy mentioned (with a genuine smile) “they close at 4 pm but *they’re not going to ask me to leave*.” Of course I didn’t stayed there for ever and leave there while still customers were sitting but the difference between attitude was very noticeable.
* A message to the lady in grey: customers can understand hospitality and genuine/fake smiles. The business owner pays the staff until their last minute of work. If you don’t enjoy spending your time in a restaurant, then change your job. If you enjoy your job then please LEARN how to interact with customers and how to manage the shop floor without putting pressure on customers or your coworkers. Thanks.
