We dropped in to the Con club on a very busy Father’s Day and managed to get a table in the bar. As it was a Sunday there was the ubiquitous lunch on offer plus Sushi/ Sashimi and a selection of ‘crowd pleasing ‘ dishes. We ordered Dragon rolls with side of fries to share and pints of Shindigger.
The service was quick and basic as we ordered/ paid at the bar during to our table location.
The Dragon rolls were tasty and of high quality however the fries were a let down- frozen, not great and a little stingy.
The music was loud in the bar area and antisocial probably one of the reasons the area was empty. I understand it was a busy shift but the whole place could do with a deep clean and a little more love. We ate and left quickly.
The outside terrace is a nice space and not too busy.

Had my 40th meal here and the food was lovely, service was great and overall just had a fab time.
The food was okay but the service was excellent. We loved the generous amount of mussels in garlic sauce and the tender scampi. I liked the chicken supreme but the rest of our food was just okay.
I came for a Sunday roast and then again for some drinks when I ended up having a dessert and both experiences were so lovely.
The staff are amazing and attentive. And the food was delicious. I can’t wait to return
Although the food we had was delicious, I really felt the service wasn't up to scratch. We constantly had to grab attention of waiters passing by - even to take the order. They don't take time to listen to you or ask if you'd like anything else - example they put the food down and legged it without asking if we needed condiments then we spent the next 10 minutes trying to grab someone rushing by to ask for mustard. The atmosphere is also loud and canteen-like.
Overall we did enjoy the food but adding a 13% service charge when the service wasn't great has put me off.
