About This Pub

Ah, the Welcome Inn – it's one of those classic London pubs that just feels like a hidden gem, tucked away on Lordship Lane. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that real homely warmth that draws you in, with folks raving about the cosy atmosphere and how it makes you feel part of the neighbourhood straight away. The staff sound like absolute stars, always up for a laugh, and it's clear this place is all about keeping things simple and genuine – no over-the-top craft beer nonsense here, just solid, affordable options for a good night out. It's particularly great if you're into watching football or enjoying a bit of music in the background. On the flip side, though, a couple of comments mention the furniture being a bit worn and makeshift, which might make it feel less inviting if you're expecting something more upscale. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone after that true local pub experience, but it might not wow you if you're in the mood for something flashier – still, I'd say it's well worth a visit for a relaxed evening with friends.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The pub has a lovely cosy and homely atmosphere that makes you feel right at ease, like you're popping into a mate's living room for a chat.
  • Friendly staff and welcoming regulars really give it that authentic community feel, perfect for making new friends over a pint.
  • Prices are spot on for a local spot – inexpensive and straightforward, so you can enjoy a few drinks without worrying about the bill.
  • It's a proper traditional pub with no frills, ideal for catching football or enjoying some good music in a relaxed setting.
Cons
  • Some of the furniture feels a bit tatty, like it might have seen better days, which could put off those looking for something more polished.
  • It has a dated charm that might not appeal to everyone, especially if you're after something more modern or trendy.

Currently I have only visited once but did enjoy my time whilst there. I thought the pub felt cosy and homely. Toilets were decorated pleasantly.

It's a proper local pub with non of this new and overpriced craft beer etc that's trying to be something it's not. My old local, which is closer to me The Westbury is an overpriced joke thinking that it's postcode is not N22 but something of that in Mayfair. The Welcome is a real local pub.

Been going to this Lordship Lane venue (near the junction with The Roundway/Downhills Way) on and off for over a decade, only pity is that is not nearer me. Great staff, reasonable prices and welcoming clientele - another fine London pub with a 'local' feel. Well worth checking out if you are in the area.

A cosy little pub which feels like you've accidentally stumbled into the front room of someone's house. Unfortunately in this case, the house appears to have been furnished with chairs left on the street by the local community.
