A hidden gem of a restaurant serving delicious food. I discovered Warren’s about 6 months ago and have introduced friends and family to this small but perfectly formed restaurant. Warrens specialises in fish but only two of our party had fish (sea bass), the others had the lamb shank, the coq au vin, the pork and it was all delicious. Beautifully cooked and presented. We were full after two courses but shared a couple of deserts. Can I say the honey and lavender panacotta served with a passion fruit coulis was sublime. Not too sweet. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. This is fast becoming a favourite dining spot. It’s so nice to have food that hasn’t been pre-cooked offsite and warmed in the ovens. Everything is cooked and prepared from scratch. The menu changes regularly. We glanced at their Sunday lunch menu and yes I definitely need to go back to try that. Oh and they now serve breakfast too.
Love it here. Initially went for a drink after recently moved into the area. Looked at the menu and wow we just had to try.
Been here a few times as a couple and with family. Highly recommend the service, the lovely home cooked food and the general ambience of the place.
Go and visit, you wont be disappointed
Visited Warren's Restaurant and Bar for the first time today but it definitely won't be the last! Fantastic food in beautiful surroundings with excellent service. Highly recommend this fabulous independent business. If you haven't got time for a meal, do pop in for some delicious food from their deli counter 😋
Style over substance, waitress looked like she didn’t want to be there, rolling her eyes when we asked for a little longer to chose out drinks, taking our order wrong as-well, I had to double check with another waitress to change it, then she dumped cutlery on our table for our main course, amuse was really nice but went down hill from there, the boa buns where nice but was mostly cabbage in them, scallops where raw, the dish was just sweet on sweet on sweet, sounded nice on paper but didn’t deliver, tried to order the lamb but was sold out which I had no issue was so ordered the beef, beef was dry, carrots where raw, lardons where burnt, the pork loin was raw, black pudding mash was basically a mustard mash because there was that much whole grain mustard in there, both plates where bulked out with masses of raw kale, truffle fries didn’t have any truffle on them and there was little to no seasoning on anything even the table next to I asked you salt for there mains.
For a bill of £80 pounds for two courses, 1 pint, glass of wine and a j2o for two we expected a whole lot more bang for our bucks but the night was a complete let down in all honesty
Warren's Restaurant and Bar is simply outstanding. The restaurant and bar are stylish in design and the menu choices are high quality, all backed up by great service. Unusual to see snails on a UK menu and I highly recommend them. If you're in the area then a visit to Warren's is highly recommended.
