About This Pub
Ah, Vivido – it's one of those places in Harrogate that just hits the spot for a relaxed meal with mates or a special night out. From what I've gathered, the food is where they really shine; think fresh, flavoursome Italian classics made with the best local and continental ingredients – reviewers rave about the pasta, seafood, and even the puddings like chocolate profiteroles. The staff are an absolute delight, always on hand with a smile and quick to accommodate things like gluten-free choices without any fuss, which is brilliant if you're watching what you eat. It's a family-run affair, so you get that warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like you're catching up with old friends. Plus, with air-con inside, it's comfy no matter the weather. On the flip side, though, the outdoor terrace is out of action during winter and isn't fully protected from the rain, which might put a dampener on things if you're hoping for some fresh air dining. And while they're open most evenings, the hours can vary, so it's worth checking ahead if you're planning a later visit. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out – the high ratings speak for themselves – but just keep those weather woes in mind for the full experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – fresh ingredients from top suppliers make for delicious Italian dishes, like tasty pasta and seafood that leave you wanting more.
-
Service is warm and welcoming; the staff are incredibly attentive and go the extra mile, especially for special occasions or dietary needs.
-
They've got a fantastic range of gluten-free options, and it's all done at no extra charge, which is a real bonus for anyone with restrictions.
-
It's a family-run spot, giving it that cosy, personal touch, and they've spruced up the place nicely with air-conditioning for those warmer days.
-
With a solid 4.6 rating from loads of folks, it's clear this place knows how to deliver a great experience overall.
Cons
-
The outdoor terrace is closed for the winter and can be unreliable in rainy weather due to ongoing issues with planning permission, so you might miss out on al fresco dining.
-
Opening hours vary a bit, and it seems like they wrap up earlier on some days, which could be a downside if you're after a late-night bite.
-
While everything's generally top-notch, the website mentions they're still working on a few things, like fully covering outdoor areas, so it might not be perfect for every visit.

Fabulous restaurant. Went with some friends for a meal during my hen party. Got a garlic bread to share, then I got the penne pollo. Delicious. Chocolate profiteroles for pudding were amazing. Great service, friendly, even got a free shot each with it being my hen party. Would definitely return
Came here with my girlfriend after seeing it had quite a large gluten free menu. Was greeted by friendly staff who were attentive throughout. When asked what we had wanted for food I had mentioned I would like the gluten free option. I was told this was perfectly fine and wasn't given 21 questions like I would get in other restraunts. Our experience was very refreshing. Great portion sizing, a great range in drinks would highly recommend to anyone wanting great food and highly recommend for people with gluten intolerances. Will definitely be returning in the near future.
Had a wonderful dinner here whilst staying in town. Lots of staff all very well organised and impeccably dressed. Seated fast and drinks order taken, the negroni was fantastic. Great selection on the menu especially the seafood options. Food was excellent along with the service. The restaurant is really well decorated and was super clean.
Best Italian dinner I have had in the UK for a long time, can highly recommend would visit again when in town
Absolutely lovely evening here with my parents. Staff were excellent and welcoming, couldn’t do enough for us. There was a rather large plethora of choices ranging from pizza, pasta and steak. Lovely cocktail menu too! Didn’t have enough room for dessert, as I was stuffed after the food (calamari to start, I’m fairly picky with squid - wasn’t too stringy, perfectly cooked & carbonara for my main). Wasn’t too expensive either which was impressive with such good food. 10/10 would recommend!
Absolutely incredible experience from start to end!!! Came tonight on a date night with my fiancé and we decided to visit here because of the extensive gluten free and dairy free options offered on the menu as I’m coeliac and lactose intolerant - wow I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely spot on and didn’t even taste gluten free at all! The pizza was lovely and soft, not that typical gluten free cardboard taste that us coeliacs are used to and this is genuinely the first place I have been to that has given a dairy free and gluten free dessert too! We had 3 courses, I had a cocktail and my fiancé had a pint of coke - all that for only £77?! Such great value for money!!
Not only is the food incredible but the atmosphere inside is so lovely - not loud like a lot of restaurants nowadays - myself and my fiancé had conversation all night without having to raise our voices once! The waiting staff are an absolute credit to the restaurant too - very attentive making sure they were noting down that I required gluten free (I only had to mention this once at the start of the meal to the waiter who was also coeliac like myself and then he remembered for the rest of the meal that I required gluten free and dairy free despite the restaurant being very busy! - I forgot the name of the waiter but what a lovely guy!)
We left already planning on the next time we will visit so would definitely recommend whether you’re coeliac or not! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
