About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about The Little Ale House; it's one of those places that just warms your cockles on a visit to Harrogate. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, they've nailed the beer game with a cracking selection of ales and ciders that had folks like Andy making special trips just for that. The staff are an absolute delight, always up for a chat and sharing their expertise, much like Nathan mentioned with that lovely barmaid. And don't get me started on the beer gardens – they're brilliant sun traps, ideal for whiling away an afternoon, as Steven and others raved about. It's got that real community feel too, where even the regulars chip in to make you welcome, just as Brant pointed out with the friendly crowd and good value. On the downside, it's a tad compact, so it might feel a bit snug when it's heaving, and the opening times can be a smidge inconsistent, which Deb might have appreciated knowing on her spontaneous visit. Still, it's a top-notch spot for a proper pint and a laugh, and I'd say it's well worth popping in if you're after an authentic pub experience without the fuss.

Made a special trip here for flat ciders, They had three different ones on. Friendly staff, lovely little pub with a beer garden at the back and on the front too. A real sun trap. Deffo will return here.
Great beer selection. Friendly helpful staff. Good pricing. Clean toilets. Good seating. Even the regulars were great. Can’t ask for more. Best pure craft beer bar in town?
This ia a real gem of an alehouse. I don't go to pubs anymore - I much prefer a latte these days. But today I really fancied an ale as it was my birthday recently but it was midweek so I thought I'd treat myself today. So I googled pubs in Harrogate (I'm not from there) and this one came as highly recommended. And so right they were. I went around 12.30p on a Saturday amd the real fire was lit, there was a lit candle on each table, no music playing, no TV. Bliss! Great service and a fab dark beer.
I cannot recommend it enough. Fabulous!
Ok I'm going to make a bit of a statement here, this is the nicest ale house in Harrogate. Stunning little place and very interesting. They had a few nice beers on and we enjoyed the nice little beer garden they have, you can also sit up front or down in the cellar. We'll Definity be returning for more beer.
Lovely bar maid with amazing knowledge on the beers this little place had to offer.
It's small and quaint. But with 2 beer gardens and loads of liquid choice, it's well worth a visit.
