About This Pub

Ah, the Village Inn – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, it's got this incredibly welcoming atmosphere that's spot on for families or just popping in for a chat and a pint. The entertainment lineup is a real highlight; think Saturday night parties with talented singers and comedians, or bingo on Tuesdays that everyone's raving about – it's all about having a good time without any fuss. And the food? Blimey, the steak and Caribbean dishes get glowing reviews, with the chef clearly putting in the effort to make every meal memorable. Plus, that beer garden is a bonus on a sunny day, letting you enjoy your drinks outdoors in comfort. On the flip side, though, it seems there are occasional mix-ups with table bookings, which might leave you scratching your head if you're planning a special night out. The menu could also be a bit tricky to navigate at times, but overall, it's a solid spot that does most things right and keeps the good vibes flowing. If you're in Wednesbury, I'd say give it a go – it's got that heartwarming charm that'll make you want to return for more.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant – it's a proper welcoming spot that's perfect for families and catching up with mates.
  • They've got top-notch entertainment, like lively singers, comedians, and even bingo nights that sound like a right laugh.
  • The food is spot on, especially the steak and Caribbean options, with plenty of praise for the chef's efforts.
  • Staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time, creating that cosy, friendly vibe you want in a local pub.
  • There's a lovely beer garden for when the weather's playing ball, making it ideal for al-fresco drinks and a bit of fresh air.
Cons
  • There can be a few hitches with table bookings, as some folks have mentioned issues with reservations not being sorted properly.
  • The menu setup might feel a tad confusing at first, which could put a slight dampener on things when you're trying to decide what to order.

We visited this pub on a recommendation, our table was booked for 630 but there was no booking apparently and then a party of 5 arrived there was no booking for them either!seems to be a issue with whoever is taking these booking’s! The service was quick at the bar the menu set up is a little strange not really clear to what’s actually on your plate! We waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers although we did enjoy our meals seemed a long wait for 2 simple meals! We will not return unfortunately atmosphere was loud kids running in and out it wasn’t for us.
