About This Pub
Ah, the Town of Ramsgate – what a lovely little find down in Wapping! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got that warm, welcoming feel you crave in a good pub, with folks raving about the buzzing atmosphere and how it draws you in for a proper pint. The selection of beers and ales is spot on, offering rich, flavoursome options that keep you coming back, and the staff really make the place shine with their friendly chats and insider tips on the pub's history. Plus, being right by the Thames means you can soak up some stunning views while you sip away. On the food front, the deals like fish and chips with a free drink sound like a winner for a hearty meal without breaking the bank. But, let's be honest, it does get heaving at times, which might make it tricky if you're after a peaceful evening or a quick table – I've heard it's best to pop in early or on a quieter day. Prices are moderate, so it's not ideal for those watching the pennies, and the location on the main road can mean a bit more noise from passers-by. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for a memorable night out; I'd say give it a go if you're in the area, as the positives far outweigh the niggles, and it's just the sort of place that leaves you with a smile and stories to tell.

-

-
It's got a fantastic riverside location overlooking the Thames, perfect for a sunny afternoon pint.
-
The food deals are spot on, like the fish and chips with a free drink on Fridays – proper tasty and great value.
Cons
-
It can get pretty packed, especially on weekends, so you might struggle to find a seat or enjoy a quiet chat.
-
With moderate prices, it's not the cheapest option around, which could add up if you're planning a long session.
-
As it's right on the main road, the outside area might feel a bit exposed to the hustle and bustle at times.

Visited The Town of Ramsgate on Saturday for a couple of drinks with colleagues. The place was buzzing — clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. Great atmosphere even with the crowd, and a really nice selection of beers and ales with rich colour and flavour. Classic riverside pub charm with a warm, lively vibe. Will definitely be back.
As like old pubs stopped here. Was really busy but looked nice. Nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Full of history. Is situated on the main road. We didn't eat but the food looked really nice. Would definitely go back and recommend.
I’d highly recommend this pub to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in an authentic British atmosphere. As a tourist, I loved being surrounded by locals.
Plus, it was a pleasure to meet the manager Ruben, who briefly explained to us the history of this place and its location, and recommended some tasty traditional dishes. Remember to book in advance as this pub is quite small, yet so intimate ;)

Discovered this lovely pub recently while walking the Thames path. Been back three times already. I like a deal so went for the Friday 'fish and chips', comes with a free drink. Lovely beer battered fish and skin on chips from 'real' potatoes not frozen. Wednesdays is 'pie and pint' again was excellent. You can 'go large for free' on any dish served with potatoes or veg. Good idea to avoid food waste. If you can eat it you can have it. The pub feels friendly and homely. The menu is fairly simple, straightforward pub food, but great quality
Lovely original pub down Wapping high Street back in the day when you could be Shanghaied after a beer or two lovely interior very professional bar staff nice clean interior with a outside area overlooking the Thames good range of beers 🍻🍻 sorry can't give you a review on the food only there for the beer. Worth a visit.
