About This Pub
Oh, I've got to say, the Tolbooth Tavern really hit the spot for me; it's one of those pubs where you walk in and instantly feel at ease, thanks to the brilliant staff who go out of their way to make everyone welcome. The atmosphere is just spot on, whether you're popping in for a quick Saturday drink or getting stuck into the karaoke on a Friday night – and they've nailed the decorations for holidays like Christmas and Halloween, which adds such a fun touch. With a fantastic range of gins and other drinks, plus prices that feel fair and a lovely beer garden for when the weather plays ball, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back. That said, it's not without its quirks; they don't seem to have much on the food front, so you might want to plan ahead if you're peckish, and the location can be a tad tricky to find at first. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out in Falkirk – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
Fantastic atmosphere with great vibes, especially during events like karaoke or with their seasonal decorations that really get you in the spirit.
-
A cracking selection of drinks, particularly gins, so it's perfect if you're after something a bit special.
-
Spotlessly clean throughout, with the toilets being immaculate and tables cleared regularly – it's the little touches that make a difference.
-
Reasonable prices that won't break the bank, plus a good-sized beer garden for enjoying a pint on a sunny day.
Cons
-
It seems they don't offer much in the way of food, so if you're looking for a proper meal, you might need to head elsewhere.
-
The location can be a bit confusing, as it's tucked away behind the steeple and not exactly where you'd expect from the address.

Went for a quick Saturday drink, staff lovely and great choice of gin
I never had food here so I can't rate. However I was here on a Friday night and the place had a great and friendly atmosphere. The staff are great and there is a good choice of drinks. The karaoke was also a highlight.
We visited at Christmas time. The decorations were amazing the welcome and atmosphere were the same. Lovely place.
First time in this pub, where we were welcomed by bar lady. Premises were decorated with Halloween regalia. No loud music. Altogether a nice pleasant pub experience. No food taken.
Fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and efficient. Glasses were cleared away from tables regularly. Ladies toilets were immaculate with a variety of products provided. Prices were reasonable. Good sized beer garden. Definitely worth a visit.
