Tolbooth Tavern in Falkirk

Oh, I've got to say, the Tolbooth Tavern really hit the spot for me; it's one of those pubs where you walk in and instantly feel at ease, thanks to the brilliant staff who go out of their way to make everyone welcome. The atmosphere is just spot on, whether you're popping in for a quick Saturday drink or getting stuck into the karaoke on a Friday night – and they've nailed the decorations for holidays like Christmas and Halloween, which adds such a fun touch. With a fantastic range of gins and other drinks, plus prices that feel fair and a lovely beer garden for when the weather plays ball, it's easy to see why folks keep coming back. That said, it's not without its quirks; they don't seem to have much on the food front, so you might want to plan ahead if you're peckish, and the location can be a tad tricky to find at first.
