About This Pub

Ah, The Courtyard in Falkirk – it's one of those places that really grows on you, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the staff are just brilliant; they're so attentive and go out of their way to make sure you're settled in nicely, which is exactly what you want when you're popping in for a pint or even staying over. The rooms sound top-notch too – clean as a whistle, with comfy beds and handy extras like a little kitchen setup, perfect for those impromptu trips. And the food? Well, it's generally spot on and won't break the bank, making it a solid choice for a relaxed meal. But, let's be honest, it's not all smooth sailing; there've been tales of orders getting muddled or dishes not arriving hot enough, which could put a bit of a dampener on things, especially if you're in a group and someone's left hungry. Overall, though, with a solid 4.4 rating, I'd say it's worth checking out if you're in the area – just keep expectations realistic for a smaller venue, and you'll likely have a cracking time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and make you feel right at home from the moment you step in – it's that warm, welcoming vibe you hope for in a local spot.
  • The rooms are spotlessly clean and super comfy, with nice touches like access to a small kitchen for a quick snack, making it feel like a proper cosy retreat.
  • They offer good, reasonably priced food that's well worth a visit, and the overall atmosphere is charming and fresh, especially in the newly opened areas.
Cons
  • There have been a few hiccups with service, like orders getting mixed up or a main course going missing, which can leave you a bit frustrated.
  • Some meals haven't been served piping hot, which is a shame when you're looking forward to a hearty pub grub experience.
  • It's not perfect for everyone, as one person mentioned leaving without eating, suggesting it might not always hit the mark on busy days.

Very friendly staff, made me feel very welcome from the second I walked in. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. Would definitely recommend.

I recently stayed at the Courtyard for a night. I had a twin room on the top floor. I was greeted by the lovely owners they couldn’t do enough for you. The room was very well equipped and very clean and you even had access to a small kitchen to make a snack if you wanted. The beds were sooooo comfortable I had an amazing sleep. The breakfast was very tasty with haggis and tatty scones. Very good value at £10 . Parking just outside with a permit from the owners. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area

The Courtyard, Falkirk – A Hidden Gem You’ll Want to Return To We had such a lovely stay at The Courtyard in Falkirk—a true hidden gem that combines comfort, charm, and a perfect location. The guest room we stayed in has only recently been opened to the public, and everything felt fresh, beautifully presented, and immaculately clean. The room was neat, and incredibly comfortable, with a cozy large bed that guaranteed a restful night’s sleep. Every little detail had been thoughtfully considered—from soft towels and calming decor to a well-equipped space that felt like a home away from home. The location couldn’t be better—peaceful and tucked away, yet right in the centre of town with easy access to local attractions, shops, and restaurants. It really is the perfect base, whether you’re visiting for business or a relaxing getaway. Breakfast was an absolute standout. Beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and served with genuine care—it was clear a lot of love went into every bite. It was the perfect start to our day. Though our stay was self-contained, Melissa, the owner, made us feel so welcome through her thoughtful touches and communication. You can tell she truly cares about her guests’ comfort and experience—her warmth shines through in every part of The Courtyard. We left feeling rested, well looked after, and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a clean, cosy, and well-located place to stay in Falkirk.

In summary, one main course missed. Wasn't the waitress because she confirmed the order. Unfortunately she was sent out with a rubbish reason. I suspect she was just stuck in the middle. But one diner left the premises without eating. What we did have was ok, but not very hot Won't be back
