About This Pub

You know, when you step into Tindale Crossing Brewers Fayre, it's got that cosy, down-to-earth feel that's just right for a casual catch-up with mates or a family outing. I love how they've thought about the little ones with the indoor play area, giving parents a chance to enjoy their meal without the chaos, and the staff really shine through – folks like Jonny make you feel like you're chatting with old pals, all while serving up affordable treats like those new lunch dishes or the classic Sunday carvery that's loaded with roasts and trimmings. On the brighter side, the prices are spot on for what you get, and it's a proper pleasant spot to kick back. But let's be straight, it's not all smooth sailing; I've heard tales of long waits for food that can kill the mood, and sometimes orders get jumbled, leaving you sorting things out when you'd rather be tucking in. Still, with a solid overall rating, it's worth a visit if you're in the area, especially if you book ahead to dodge the rush – just keep expectations realistic for a typical pub day out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely lovely and really go the extra mile, like Jonny who was a hit with families and made everyone feel welcome.
  • It's a great spot for families with that indoor play area, keeping the kids entertained while you relax with a meal or a pint.
  • The food offers brilliant value, with mains from just £5 during lunch and tasty options like the Grilled Chicken Caesar Flatbread or the Sunday carvery that's perfect for a family gathering.
  • The surroundings are pleasant and welcoming, making it a nice place to unwind with friends over a Guinness or some hearty dishes.
Cons
  • Service can sometimes drag on, like when waits for food stretch over 45 minutes, which puts a damper on the experience.
  • Orders might not always come out right, with missing items or mix-ups that leave you chasing staff and letting your meal go cold.
  • It can feel a bit understaffed during busy times, leading to delays and a sense that things are a tad rushed or overlooked.

Great family pub, offering a range of food at reasonable prices. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. Our server on this occasion was Jonny. Will definitely return again.

Very disappointing. We waited over 45 mins for our food. The order was wrong, part of the meal was missing. They looked short staffed and I then had to wait at the till to ask for the rest of our Meal. She asked for a receipt. I then went back to our table for it. All the time my meal is going cold. She eventually brought the rest of the meal to the table while I was standing at the till still waiting. My husband said she put it on the table muttering sorry for the delay. Sorry but there was no delay. It was missed off. When you order a meal you expect everything to come together not half way through your meal. We will not go back.

There was no one to greet but there was a clear sign giving good instructions as to what to do. Ordering food at the bar was straightforward and the staff member was courteous and friendly throughout. There was a little delay to food arriving due to the establishment being busy but this was communicated and apologies given. The food upon arrival was tasty and enjoyed immensely. A member of staff came to inquire about my food and whether it was enjoyable, he was friendly and not overbearing. All in all I would highly recommend this as a place for good food to eat.
